Meet Denzel Early of Detroit, Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Denzel Early

Hi Denzel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I learned basic survival skills after I went to the military in South Carolina as a privateer. I learned the only way I would stay alive long is to eat healthy, find a joy for sports and stay out of the personal business of others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life was smooth when I learned how to trade stock and learn how to invest small capitals. I joined many a’ regional organizations such as one was called National Block Club University headed by Syron Smith. My only hope in life was to help others become what they only hoped to be their lifetime. I went Hubert Humphrey Academy when I was twenty-five and I had blast. It was the first time I left home in Detroit, Michigan to go to school abroad. The school was in Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota. Outside of a small suburb called Falcon Heights. I would get up everyday brush my teeth and head to class on the government’s dime. Free education. Free travel. I met a lot of good people out west before I came back home. I saved $12,000 in one-year just working overtime as a nurse and memory care aide. I learned how to manage money, how to donate and share it. One thing I learned in life was money was nothing if you couldn’t imagine what it would do for you when you didn’t’t have it.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I created a YouTube channel to help my demographic who struggle with Mental Health. One of my main goals was to invest in Detroit local companies – one being Masco – to help achieve sustainable goals faster in beautification and clean energy and better environmental health. I invest more than a thousand dollars every month in infrastructure. I felt if Detroit looked like Falcon Heights people in the community would achieve better as most of the population has either left or struggled with obesity or hopelessness.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I work with an organization in Chicago called the National Block Club University. It’s a childhood, a sisterhood and a familyhood all in one. The organisation was created to give regular folks an opportunity who left Chicago to network with each other. I was born on the Southside in 1990. I could remember taking the Pace bus from Chicago to Indiana a year before I became an asylum seeker, leaving Chicago for Detroit, fleeing violence and economic challenges as a teenager with my mom and youngest sister. We left November 11th 2006 in a UHaul with my Uncle Lee heading for another journey. I found it hard at first to adapt living in a different city. But after awhile it became like I was from the city itself.
