Meet Deb Oliviara of Oliviara Multimedia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deb Oliviara.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was raised by entrepreneurs and homeschooled, which gave me a front-row seat to the world of business from a young age. I was always fascinated by my dad’s work especially when he would sit down to analyze what wasn’t working and map out new strategies to improve his business. I didn’t realize it then, but I was learning the foundations of business strategy just by watching those moments unfold and asking a million questions.

Being homeschooled gave me the opportunity to dive deep into my interests and even graduate a year early. With my dad’s support, I started my first business at 17. My parents were intentional about nurturing our passions, mine and my siblings’ and made sure we had access to the resources we needed to learn and grow in our interests. I’ll be honest, that kind of support set me up for success from the start. That opportunity is not lost on me. I am beyond grateful for my parents and that made all the difference in how I approach business and strategy today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One major shift stands out in my mind when you ask that question.

I started my entrepreneurial journey as a wedding photographer and grew that company into something I’m incredibly proud of. We were getting national recognition as a team, and eventually expanded to offer almost everything for a wedding except bartending and catering!

But when it came to how we presented ourselves as a company, I was playing it safe. I was trying to stay in the same box as everyone else in the wedding industry. I figured, “If it’s working for them, it should work for me too,” so I tried to sound and look like all the other wedding vendors out there.

Then one day, I remember thinking: Screw this. I’m tired of trying to fit in. From that moment on, we made the decision to show up as our true, authentic selves.

We completely revamped our brand and how we showed up from our messaging to our visuals. And yes, that included bringing in MY signature pink. That year, we nearly doubled our bookings. It was clear we were doing something right. By showing up authentically, we started attracting clients who were the perfect fit for us. People who really got us.

To this day, I’m still in touch with some of those past couples. We built genuine connections because we stopped trying to be like everyone else and just leaned into who we really were.

My biggest piece of advice? Stop copying what everyone else is doing. The more authentic you are, the more you’ll attract the right people for your brand, your business, and your life.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Oliviara Multimedia?
I may have started as a wedding agency, but after the passing of my daughter in 2020, everything shifted. That profound loss sparked a massive transformation, Not just in my life, but in my purpose.

I had built something truly magical with my wedding agency. Something I was already teaching other business owners to create in their own work. With that realization, I made the difficult but powerful decision to close the agency and open Oliviara Multimedia.

At Oliviara Multimedia, we specialize in helping businesses attract their ideal audience through our signature Magnetic Marketing Method. This approach empowers businesses to show up authentically, with a clear message that resonates deeply with the people they’re meant to serve.

It’s incredible to watch the transformation: watching a business go from struggling to get inquiries to doubling their bookings, attracting dream clients, and growing beyond what they imagined. It’s not just marketing, it’s magnetic.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
How we market a business is ever evolving, however the basics have stayed the same.

At the heart of it, people don’t want to feel like they’re just being sold to. They want to connect with the brand, with the story, and with the people behind the business.

Now more than ever, consumers are craving authenticity. They want to know who they’re supporting, where their money is going, and what values a business stands for. I believe that desire for transparency and connection is only going to grow, People want to see real people not heavily photoshopped versions, not AI-generated avatars, not anything fake.

In an age where content is abundant but trust is scarce, authenticity is what breaks through the noise. That’s exactly what Oliviara Multimedia helps businesses harness. Real stories, real visuals, and real connection.
