Today we’d like to introduce you to Danny Mullen.
Hi Danny, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up I was active and in sports. However, as I became a teenager, I mixed up with the wrong crowd and started getting into drugs and alcohol at an early age. I made poor decisions and was in and out of trouble most of my teenage years.
I ended up dropping out of high school and was living a very poor lifestyle during this time. And it wasn’t until I got in trouble for the last time and was at a fork in the road to make a decision on my future.
Luckily, the Judge saw something in me and wanted to give me a final chance. I never looked back; I had a long heart-to-heart with myself and asked, “When was the last time I was happy?” because at that current juncture, I was miserable.
I remembered that when I was active and playing sports I was at my best. So, I made the decision to go back and get my GED and started to workout. I also decided I wanted to get back into sports to motivate me. I worked hard, got my GED, and tried out for a small local Christian college, and they gave me an opportunity to have a roster spot on the basketball team.
From there, I developed a thirst for self-development and to share my knowledge and passion of health and fitness with others just the same way of how it saved my life.
I started taking courses and certifications to become a personal trainer while I was going through school. I loved to help people with the same things that helped me and developed a following. After school, I took the leap and decided to open my own fitness business in Washington Twp. So I could continue to pass on helping people make transformations in their life.
We have now been open over 7 years and are thriving, making a major impact in people’s lives and the community.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
