Meet Danielle Reed

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Reed.  

Hi Danielle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Prior to being a mom, I was an original nurse assisting with multiple assisted living facilities. When I became pregnant, I knew I wanted things to be a little different; I wanted to be able to be home to support my child. With the support of my husband, we were able to do this, and as of Sept 2018, I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for my daughter. When Covid hit, my already isolated world became even smaller. I became depressed and struggled with feeling worse and meaning within myself. After speaking with many family members and loved ones about this, they suggested I do something creative, and I’m a very tactile person, so I decided I would pick up Clay. My First creations left a lot to be desired; I had no idea what I was doing. I was learning something completely new. As I did research and improved, I started having people ask, “can I buy those?” So, I decided to take the leap and get licensed. I love that this journey has created a business, created connections with many amazing people, and given me a deeper sense of purpose. A confidence and joy in being myself. 

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Huge struggles in learning clay, in baking times, and in conditioning. There are many specifics that make clay “perfect” there are many steps involved and perfecting those techniques took a lot of time and practice. I also got a lot of NOs. A lot of people that didn’t see this as a business but rather a hobby.

Polymer clay earrings. I often create sleek designs that are perfect for everyday wear. I hope to help you put your best ears forward and bring you confidence and joy in just being yourself. I am a mompreneur who supports other business owners, one who cheers on others and never gives up my positive attitude
