Meet Dan Hunt of Muskegon, MI

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dan Hunt.

Hi Dan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a former collegiate coach I found a niche leaning into the mental side of athletic performance. Upon leaving the college athletic space I continued to follow that curiosity which has lead me into peak performance in the athletic and business space.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In some ways yes. When you follow your curiosity and align that with the gifts you have it allows you to overcome and navigate those rough roads much easier.

In other ways it has not been, there is considerable amount of pressure and stress providing both value for my clients which fits within their budget constraints while providing for my family as well. Another struggle has been navigating being more and more in the public eye, which naturally brings on negativity from people who either don’t understand what you are trying to do and the service you are trying to provide or envy the fact that you are chasing down your dreams and making reality out of the skill set and talents you have been given.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a performance coach. I train individuals and teams to be at their best when it matters most. Developing their capacity and ability to stay composed under pressure and execute at an elite level. What sets us apart from other performance coaching or companies is that we lean into the reality that physiology, our biochemistry and our psychology, how we think and our mindset are intertwined. You can not develop one without developing the other and we take the complexities of this into simpler, more understanding and most importantly actionable information.

What we are most proud of is the the external achievements of our clients, but the transformation internally whether that is individual or the culture within a large team or organization that drives those results. We have seen time and time again that this transformation not only changes peoples lives on an individual level, but further impacts their team, communities and most importantly the families they are apart of.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
That greatness is within everyone, but that does not mean we will all experience it. You will never drift into it and it will not happen by chance, but if you acknowledge it and take intentional disciplined action you will walk in it which is what you were created for.
