Meet Cody Nowicki of Cody Nowicki Senior Real Estate Specialist

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cody Nowicki

Hi Cody, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My path to becoming a real estate agent has been anything but linear, but every step has strategically shaped who I am today. After graduating from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in 2015 , I pursued strength and conditioning coaching, interning with programs at CMU and Eastern Michigan University. However, I quickly realized that lifestyle wasn’t aligned with my long-term goals.

I transitioned into personal training, where I loved helping people reach their goals, but it wasn’t enough to meet the life I envisioned. Encouraged by successful clients in sales, I decided to gain experience by taking a member service rep role with a health insurance company. That experience led to a five-year career in Sales Engineering, where I developed skills in problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship-building.

Despite excelling in these roles, I felt a deeper calling to help others in a more meaningful way. Leaving the corporate world, I briefly focused on helping businesses secure pandemic-related tax credits, which brought me closer to an entrepreneurial path. That experience, combined with my passion for real estate investing, led me to pursue a career as a real estate agent.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of this career has been helping seniors and their families navigate life transitions, such as downsizing or moving into assisted living. To better serve them, I earned my Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) certification, equipping me with the knowledge and tools to guide families through these often-challenging decisions.

Today, I’m proud to help people buy, sell, and invest in real estate, knowing I’m aligned with my purpose: making a meaningful impact during some of the most significant transitions in life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’d say my journey was relatively smooth until I left corporate to try my hand at helping businesses secure pandemic-related tax credits. That transition taught me invaluable lessons about delayed gratification and resilience. We only got paid when businesses received their credits, but with the program’s complications, many are still waiting for payouts over 24 months later.

This period put my back against the wall and tested my resolve in ways I hadn’t experienced before. It was my first attempt to step outside the traditional path and take bold steps toward uncharted territory—not just for me but for my family. While it was a struggle, it ultimately led me to where I am today.

Life will knock you down, but one thing I’ve always done is get back up. When your purpose burns deep, nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams. Every setback has only fueled my drive to keep moving forward, and for that, I’m grateful.

At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to educating and guiding people through major life transitions. Whether it’s helping first-time homebuyers navigate the emotional and often overwhelming process of purchasing a home, assisting seniors as they downsize or move into independent or assisted living, or helping buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals, my mission is to make every transition as seamless and stress-free as possible.

What sets me apart is my compassion and ability to remain composed during emotional and stressful times. I genuinely believe I’m the best person to guide people through these journeys, and I’m always honest if I feel someone else might better serve a client’s needs—because what’s best for my clients always comes first.

Working with me feels easy and approachable, but when it comes to negotiating and protecting my clients’ best interests, I bring determination and toughness to the table. Whether you’re buying your first home, selling a property, or transitioning to a new stage in life, I aim to turn what might seem daunting into an exciting new chapter.

My work is rooted in empathy, integrity, and a passion for helping people move forward confidently, no matter their stage or situation in life.

What’s next?
My vision for the future is to create an exceptional, seamless real estate experience by implementing systems and producing educational content that serves as a one-stop shop for all real estate needs. I want to empower clients with the knowledge and support they need to navigate these major transitions confidently.

What excites me most is living in alignment with my passion—helping people through significant moments in their lives and forming genuine, lasting connections. For me, the relationship doesn’t end when the transaction is complete. My goal is to build friendships that last a lifetime and to be there for my clients, their families, and friends whenever they need guidance in the future.

Ultimately, I’m committed to creating a real estate experience that not only meets but exceeds expectations, leaving a positive impact on every life I touch.
