Meet Charise Jenkins of Charise Jenkins Ministries

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charise Jenkins.

Hi Charise, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2020, I came to a powerful realization: I had a voice—and it was meant to be heard. But it wasn’t just about me. I also recognized that so many other women around me had voices that had gone unheard for too long. As I leaned into my relationship with God, I felt Him urging me to speak up and become a pillar for other women—to create space for our voices to be heard not just in our communities, but across the world.

As I sought clarity on the vision God placed in my heart, I began to understand that the calling on my life was one that many traditionally associate with men. Throughout history, especially in religious spaces, leadership has often been viewed as a male-dominated role. But as I studied the Word, I began to see clearly that women were always present and powerful—boldly speaking out, leading, and making impact. Even after Jesus’ resurrection, it was women who were the first to proclaim that He had risen. That alone confirmed what I already knew in my spirit: women have always had a voice—and that voice matters.

Stepping out in faith, I began creating a platform where women could feel safe, empowered, and affirmed to speak and lead. That’s when “Bible Study on the Water” was birthed. It was different—outside the four walls of the church, right by the water, where we could connect deeply and freely. It became a space where women could flow in their calling, especially in the areas of outreach, leadership, and faith.

Now entering its 10th year, Bible Study on the Water continues to thrive every August, drawing women together on Tuesday nights by the water to share, grow, and be empowered. Month after month, voices are being lifted, stories are being shared, and destinies are being unlocked.

My mission is to help women understand not only who they are, but whose they are. I want them to know that their voice is tied to their purpose—and their purpose is tied to destiny. I’m simply here to help guide them into that truth and cheer them on as they step boldly into the life God created them to live.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest obstacles I faced was learning to truly believe in myself—and in the power of my voice. For a long time, I struggled with the idea that people would actually listen to what I had to say, especially as a woman. Growing up in environments where men were traditionally seen as the leaders—biblically, in the home, and in the church—I internalized the belief that leadership, especially spiritual leadership, belonged to men.

It took courage to unlearn that mindset and step into my calling with boldness. I had to overcome the fear that my voice wasn’t valid simply because it came from a woman. But once I began to trust that what I carried was valuable—not just for me, but for other women—I realized my voice could be a source of healing, empowerment, and change. That shift in mindset was one of my greatest challenges, but also one of my most powerful breakthroughs.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Charise Jenkins Ministries?
Charise Jenkins Ministries is a multifaceted platform designed to amplify the voices of women and bring visionary ideas to life. Whether it’s through indoor or outdoor gatherings, radio, television, or digital spaces, our mission remains the same—to create environments where women are seen, heard, and inspired. At the heart of the ministry is a deep commitment to helping women discover their true identity, walk confidently in their purpose, and use their voices to influence their communities and the world around them.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most is the impact—it’s about making a real difference in women’s lives. It shifts how women think about themselves, how they see each other, and how they listen to one another. When women feel empowered to use their voices, it transforms not only their personal lives but also their communities. It creates space for more women to rise into leadership, influence change, and inspire others to do the same. That ripple effect is what makes this work so meaningful.
