Meet Chad Flores

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chad Flores.

Chad Flores

Hi Chad, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Mexican American, born in Muskegon, MI, in 1989. My parents say that When I was around 4 years old, I would perform in our living room with a plastic Guitar (wearing only my underwear and a cowboy hat) for anyone that came over. I guess that’s where it all started. I began taking Guitar lessons with Uncle “Fro” in 5th Grade. In 6th grade, I won the Middle school talent show performing “Sweet home Alabama” with my buddy Brian on drums. This was a huge deal in our community! By 9th grade, we had a 4-piece Rock cover band, that played out 40 plus weekends a year. We became very popular regionally. By the way, you heard that right…in 9th grade, I played FOURTY WEEKENDS A YEAR! That continued on for a couple years after graduating. During this time, I fell in love with Songwriting. Eventually, we broke up, and a few years, and a few bands later, my life would change forever! In 2019 I wrote my first single “STRUT” and recorded it in Nashville with a studio band. This song went on to sell 100,000 digital copies and slingshotted my Solo Country Career!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. Finances are a big one. My wife and I both workshop jobs, and we fund this entire dream of mine working overtime. Recording in Nashville isn’t cheap, and neither are self-funded Music videos.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Kitchen Operator for a Food manufacturing factory.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I am Christian, So the Bible is Huge to me! I also love watching Bobby Bones podcast, “Bobbycast.” I appreciate the insight from Nashville Artists and Songwriters.
