Meet Catie Brown-Busch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Catie Brown-Busch.

Hi Catie, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I am Catie, a brand marketing professional and lifestyle photographer based in beautiful southwest Michgan. I help business owners and entrepreneurs stand out from the crowd. Art in all forms is my passion, and I strive to continually infuse that passion into every project I create.

Since a young age, I have been finding ways to share my creativity with the world. My first-time commissioning art was in school when my teacher asked if he could showcase a jewelry collection I had made at a local store. It was an amazing feeling to have someone see value in your work. Still today, I get a wave of pride when I see someone walk by in apparel that I designed that they deemed worthy to purchase and wear.

Named after my aunt, a family has been at the heart of who I am since the day I was born. Now a wife and the mother of two, I have made a point of trying to capture every moment I can. I also have two energetic chocolate labs that keep me on my toes with an abundance of adorable and playful moments to capture. As my family has grown my photography experience has grown along with them. I have captured our adventures as we attempt to visit every state in the US. I have spent hundreds of hours on sidelines for sporting events for local teams, including on the sidelines at NFL stadiums. In photography, I love to forget the script. I want to make sure I capture

After many years in the corporate world, I started CABB Studios, which has been the perfect creative outlet that allows me to consistently bring new ideas to life. My passion and experience to help fellow entrepreneurs extends far beyond the world of design. I absolutely love being a small piece of the puzzle in helping my clients’ businesses thrive!

Daily, I am a storyteller, a Marketing Professional that helps organizations focus on strategies to grow their brands. Creating logos and graphics that help showcase the WHO, WHAT, and WHY. Focus on internal and external clients of an organization and fostering key relationships that lead to success in business. As a business owner myself, I understand the need for brand design to be more than trendy… it absolutely needs to be functional as well. Within every aspect of my work, I strive to achieve this balance. Throughout the entire branding or website design process, we will work together to create a unique brand that will serve you for years to come.

When I’m not in my office designing, I’m an outdoor girl at heart. You will find me hiking, biking, enjoying Lake Michigan or attending one of my kids’ sporting activities. I also love painting, taking photos, or gardening. Some call me the “Crazy Plant Lady”, a name that totally might be fitting given my quantity of houseplants totaling 60+ … though some do migrate outside in the summertime. They are a huge serotonin boost during the long Michigan winters.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would not say it has been a smooth road. Definitely plenty of learning curves along the way. Transitioning from the mindset of what the definition for “success” looks like and being brave enough to take the leap to create a revenue stream where you are solely independent on yourself is a big change from the corporate world. The positive change that it has had on my family and my health is worth it in the end. I love what I do and the people I get to meet and interact with along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I help business owners and entrepreneurs stand out from the crowd. Art in all forms is my passion, and I strive to continually infuse that passion into every project I create.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite memory as a child is spending time with my Grandparents at their home. They have always been a great inspiration to me in so many ways. My Grandpa had a large workshop in a pole barn on his property, and he taught me how to work with my hands on projects. I still love to do work that is hands-on. I currently have a Mid-century Modern Home that I am remodeling with my Husband.
