Today we’d like to introduce you to Cat Brown.
Hi Cat, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was raised in Mid-Western Michigan. As a young married couple my husband and I decided that him joining the U.S. Air Force would be the best start for our family, so we soon left the Great Lake State. I started her career as a Residential Real Estate agent in 2011, while living in Nebraska and raising 3 kids. My family and I were able to move back home to Michigan in 2016. Where I have been enthusiastically providing the members of Livingston County and surrounding areas with the best service I possibly can.
I’m a big believer in being a part of the community you live in! So if I see a need and I have the ability to step in and take it on I will, or I will do my best to find the right person to take it on. This has lead me to meet some really amazing people and find some really fun opportunities.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road, moving 13 hours and 4 states away and moving to an area where we knew no one, really meant that I had to start completely over and build my business from the ground up. Besides that Real Estate is a pretty cyclical business, so having a consistent income can be difficult. I hate the term Lead Generation…It’s people, essentially it’s finding the people that I can help through the process of buying or selling a home and doing my best to be the person they think of when that comes.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m known for really being there for my clients, they often apologize for calling or texting too frequently or asking too many questions. That is literally what I am here for! It’s a crazy process no matter what side of the transaction you’re on, and you don’t know what you don’t know. So please, ask ALL the questions. I want my people to feel comfortable and confident moving forward, not lost in the dark or surprised.
I’m also known for being a community presents, I host or co-host many public events through out the year (Hunt Along the Trail, Cocoa With Claus for a Cause, Light Up the Park Pinckney). I also coach 8th grade volleyball for Pinckney school, run popcorn day weekly at our upper elementary, and run a local women business owners networking group (Huron River Women In Business.
