Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Honor.
Hi Briana , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey started behind the chair about six years ago, fueled by my love for beauty and making women feel confident in their own skin. I began building my brand in Detroit, focusing on healthy hair care and on-trend styles, but I quickly realized my passion was rooted deeper—in bridal styling and education.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with plenty of brides, and I’ve built a reputation for delivering timeless, luxury looks paired with a calming and professional experience. I also realized there was a gap in the industry: so many talented stylists didn’t know how to navigate the business side of beauty or break into the bridal world. That inspired me to launch Bridal Hair Academy and digital resources like The Art of Quick Weaves course.
Today, I split my time between serving brides, mentoring the next generation of beauty pros, and creating educational resources that empower women to build profitable, fulfilling careers behind the chair. My goal is simple: to leave every woman I touch—client or stylist—feeling elevated, confident, and ready to walk in her purpose
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road—but every challenge shaped me into the woman and business owner I am today. Like many entrepreneurs, I started with little guidance and had to learn everything through trial and error. Balancing the creative side of hairstyling with the business side was tough at first—things like pricing my worth, managing finances, and setting boundaries with clients didn’t come easy.
There were also seasons where I felt burnt out, especially trying to do it all on my own. And during the early stages of building my bridal brand, I faced imposter syndrome and questioned if I was “ready” to step into that luxury space. But I kept showing up, kept learning, and kept reminding myself that I’m walking in purpose.
Now, I see every obstacle as a lesson that gave me the tools to not only grow my business but help other stylists grow theirs, too.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a professional hairstylist and educator, specializing in luxury bridal styling and beauty business mentorship. While I offer a range of services, bridal hair is truly my lane—I’m known for creating elegant, long-lasting styles that photograph beautifully and hold up from the first look to the last dance. But beyond the hair itself, I focus heavily on the experience. I bring calm energy, professionalism, and organization to what can be one of the most stressful days of a woman’s life.
What I’m most proud of is how I’ve been able to pour back into other stylists. Through my Bridal Hair Academy and courses like The Art of Quick Weaves, I help beauty pros elevate both their skillset and mindset. What sets me apart is that I care about the full picture—not just the glam. I teach women how to position themselves, charge their worth, and build businesses with longevity and intention.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that consistency beats perfection, every time. In the beginning, I thought everything had to be perfect before I could launch, show up, or charge more—but that mindset held me back. Once I gave myself permission to grow through the process and stay consistent, everything changed.
I also learned that boundaries are a form of self-respect. As creatives, it’s easy to overextend yourself trying to please everyone, but protecting your peace is key to building a sustainable business. Now, I make decisions from a place of alignment, not pressure—and that’s been a game-changer.
