Ashanta, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am Ashanta Rockell a young woman with big dreams and even bigger faith. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, I have faced many challenges throughout my journey, including depression, anxiety, failures, and the pressures of my environment. Surrounded by outside noise, violence, doubt, and obstacles that could have easily defined my future, I made a powerful decision: I would change my story.
Through faith, perseverance, and determination, I refused to let my circumstances dictate who I would become. Instead, I used every setback as motivation to grow stronger and pursue my purpose.
Today, I am a model, entrepreneur, and the CEO of XO Bombshell Beauty Cosmetics & Self-Care. My brand represents more than beauty—it reflects confidence, healing, self-love, and empowerment. Through my work, I encourage women to embrace their worth, believe in their dreams, and walk boldly in the purpose God has for their lives.
My mission is to inspire women of all ages to pursue what God has in store for them and to never allow their circumstances, past mistakes, or current struggles to define their future. I am living proof that with faith, resilience, and determination, it is possible to overcome adversity and become the woman you were created to be.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest challenge was overcoming my anxiety and depression i have experienced heartbreak, miscarriage, sexual assault, and domestic violence but i am not saddened by this i am strong and a survivor of things that were sent to break me
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am not just beauty i have the smarts too i am currently a student on the journey of obtaining my 2nd degree ,bachelor’s in business administration. Outside of being a student i am most known for being a published model in blackmag magazine and doing runway for many shows in my hometown such as indie fashion and formfit i have also been accepted into new york fashion week for the year of 2024-2025 . Outside of modeling i am also a ceo i create organic beauty lip care products ; i am in the process of creating a body butter and body shimmer oil for my upcoming skin care line. i am also upcoming content creator. Something i am most proud of is my growth and something that sets me apart is my resilience i refuse to settle and give up on myself.
What makes you happy?
Something that makes me happy is seeing how much of an impact i have on women around me. it warms my heart that i can inspire someone to really strive for what they want. Doing something bigger than myself it brings a different type of clarity and peace
