We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Ha… absolutely 😉 Isn’t everyone’s life? I grew up with a single Mom that worked at a grocery store… she was always the perfect example of hard work, love, and doing whatever it takes to be successful and provide for me… around the 9-year-old range, she met and married my amazing Dad (stepdad) Mark, who was an amazing influence on me and example for me… he encouraged Scouting as he and my grandfather were both Eagle Scouts… fast forward to joining the military 3 weeks prior to Sept 11, 2001…. a little later in 2004 I had a Hernia repair on board the Aircraft Carrier while deployed overseas on CVN-65… then later with Aerospace I went through a 60-day layoff notice, that was rescinded (they didn’t lay me off), followed by a divorce not my choice then; however it came to be a massive blessing in disguise. Then a 60-day layoff notice after almost 10 years with The Boeing Company that my last day was my BIRTHDAY 🙂 lol. Gotta love corporate America and just being a number or at Boeing, a BEMS ID. After that, everything has been roses 😉 Just kidding, Real Estate is a challenge and a lot to learn for someone who wants to be Top Notch at what they do… tons of training, challenges, scenarios, rude people (they are everywhere), etc… My wife and I quit our “JOBS” and started our own business; we decided to limit risk and cost by moving into Mom and Grandma’s GARAGE for about a year… That’s a snapshot and nowhere near all the struggles; however, that’s a lil taste of life.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Military Veteran and Eagle Scout that truly loves serving others. I find it a massive privilege to help someone buy, sell and invest in Real Estate. It is, for most clients, their most expensive purchase they will ever make… we have the opportunity to help them save $1,000s of dollars… I’ve helped buy properties for $192,000 and 139,000 below list price, helped multiple clients win in multiple offer situations, as well as help them position and structure their offer to be as strong as they can be (i.e., if they are low down payment FHA, VA, Conventional up against cash, etc.). It’s an art; there are so many moving parts to know and be aware of. I’ll always remember a first-time buyer that I helped them buy their first home for $223,000 and a year later helped them sell it for $345,000. Such a fun opportunity to help others build wealth, and it feels good to help them get out of tough situations like divorce, death of a loved one, new baby, retirement, or empty nesting. I’ve helped many sellers net more with me than they were trying as a For Sale by Owner (FSBO), i.e., a $302,000 FSBO we sold for $339,800…. a $415,000 we sold for $480,000… a listing that expired with the last agent (the agent failed to sell the home) at $949,000, we sold it for $1,050,000. The best one is an FSBO that was listed on their own, and we listed their property and received 3 offers for $550,000 or more, ABOVE what they were asking… so they will put an extra $284,000 in their pocket.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
My mother is one of nine girls… so I was raised by and around my mother, 8 aunts, and my grandmother. All that being said, I have a huge heart, and I’m quite possibly on the inside one of the most passionate, caring, and emotional people you may ever meet. I love people; I love making an impact, I love giving time, sweat, blood, tears, and finances. From local youth to Military Veterans, cancer patients, cancer research, and clean drinking wells around the world in austere environments. I love giving back. I love connecting with people on a meaningful way that will last or outlast who and what we are. I appreciate Honesty, Hard Work, Integrity, Passion, Grit, and Sacrifice… it was a huge honor and privilege to serve this country and risk my life to defend America and great people around the world. That is something I will always cherish.

Another fun thing to share… Jeanie and I have a huge family… of animals 😉 6 dogs (Khi, Oz, Aggie, Loretta Lynn, Waylon, and McGhee), Loretta just had 3 puppies (they are 9 days old at the time of this), 3 cats (Sunny, Suits, and Mia Bella), 4 quarter horses… Clint (aka Whimsical Fortune) who my wife rode down the aisle at our wedding, and you will see in photos, Lovie’s Lil Rey (aka Lovie), the 2022 World Champion in Novice Amateur Reining and Reserve Champion in Horsemanship and Ranchmanship, then we have Cindy Lou and Doc’s Moonshine Cat that are in training, Blackjack is our bull, Sweet Brown is our heifer, 2 calves Cool Whip and Lightening, 12 sheep (come visit or FaceTime me and I’ll name them all 😉 lol, Macy the zebu (miniature cow), 4 miniature horses… Raz, Tex, Penelope, and Latte, Winston the donkey, Sherry the turtle, and Milford the pig.
