Meet Andrea Pohl of Owl Wisdom Holistic Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Pohl.

Hi Andrea, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Absolutely. My story really begins in childhood. For as long as I can remember, I could see auras, sense energy, see spirits, and receive information in ways that didn’t quite fit the world around me. For a long time, I thought everyone could see and feel the same things. It wasn’t until late elementary school that I realized my experiences were… different.
As a teenager, I began searching for answers and found myself drawn to Eastern philosophy and spirituality. The more I learned, the more I began to understand my gifts in a new light. I realized that all the difficult, even traumatic moments from my early life had shaped me for a reason — that my intuition wasn’t something to fear, but something to use in service of others.
In my late twenties, I started seeking mentors to help refine my abilities. I discovered that I was already operating at an advanced level and needed teachers who could meet me there. That led me to the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, where I became a certified Life Coach and was ordained. There, I learned to ethically blend intuitive guidance with coaching — helping clients not only receive messages but also process and grow through them using proven coaching models.
Then life threw me a series of curveballs — a divorce, moving back in with my parents, and raising my young son. We began training in Taekwondo together as a healthy outlet, but not long after, I was diagnosed with an acoustic neuroma, a brain tumor. My world was turned upside down. The surgery and recovery were grueling, but also profoundly transformative. Every day, I practiced gratitude — celebrating small victories like taking a few more steps, feeling a little less pain. My biggest motivation was my son; I wanted to be strong enough to care for him again.
That recovery taught me perseverance in a way nothing else could. Step by step, I relearned how to walk, climb stairs, and even ride a bike. Martial arts became both my physical therapy and my spiritual grounding. Over time, I earned my first and second-degree black belts in Taekwondo and eventually shifted my focus to Krav Maga.
Today, I’m proud to be a Krav Maga instructor and will be testing for my first-degree black belt in January 2026. Teaching has allowed me to merge my worlds — empowering women emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Whether it’s through coaching or on the mat, my goal is the same: to help women reconnect with their divine feminine power.
Because strength doesn’t mean shutting off softness. You can be fierce and nurturing, spiritual and strategic, powerful and compassionate — all at once. That’s what I’ve learned, and that’s what I hope to pass on to others.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

My journey hasn’t been a smooth one, but I’ve come to see that life is designed that way — to challenge us, push us, and help our souls grow. Like diamonds forming under pressure, the obstacles we face often reveal our strength and resilience.
I’ve encountered challenges on many levels — navigating the supernatural aspects of my life, going back to school with a toddler, complicated relationships, parenting, and health obstacles. Early on, I realized that these experiences didn’t have to be “bad things happening to me.” Instead, I began to see them as lessons, opportunities for growth and self-discovery.
That mindset hasn’t made me immune to anxiety or depression, but it’s fundamentally changed how I respond to adversity. When I remind myself, “This is happening for me,” I step out of a victim mentality and into a space of agency. It allows me to see every challenge — no matter how unfair or overwhelming it may feel — as a chance to evolve, learn, and grow stronger.
It’s not about denying the difficulty, but about embracing the opportunity embedded within it. Life’s pressures have taught me resilience, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of myself — lessons I carry into everything I do, personally and professionally.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

I provide Clairvoyant Life Coaching, Reiki, and Shamanic Healing practices, working with clients both one-on-one and through workshops. I also offer a free Self-Care Workbook on my website to help people begin exploring their own growth and wellness.
What sets my work apart is the way I integrate intuition with coaching. A session with me often feels like therapy with a Shamanic Practitioner. I don’t just see what’s going on in your aura or energy field — I also receive guidance in real time that I share with you. From there, I help coach you through the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that arise, using techniques that resonate specifically with you.
I’m particularly proud of how I’ve built my brand and cultivated a supportive community around my work. It’s more than just the services I offer; it’s about creating a space where people feel safe, understood, and empowered to embrace their own growth.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?

I hope to see more people connecting with their own inner guidance systems — learning to trust their intuition and embrace the wisdom they already carry. I especially hope to empower women to find the courage to explore the unknown within themselves, to shed light on it, and step fully into what brings them confidence, joy, and personal power.
Owl Wisdom will always be here as a supportive space — a place where people can receive guidance and hold space for growth emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. My goal is to create a community and a practice where transformation feels safe, empowering, and deeply personal.
