Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Pohl.
Hi Andrea, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always seen ghosts and auras, and knew things psychically since I can remember in childhood. I actually thought it was normal till about late elementary school when I realized that most people can’t see or experience what I did.
In my teen years, I began to search for answers which lead me to eastern philosophy and spirituality. I began to find many correlations to my experiences. I began to feel that if I didnt use these gifts, then all the scary traumatic moments I experienced in my childhood was for nothing. So at almost 30 till I started looking for mentors to work with to help develop my skills further. It didn’t take long till I learned that my skills were already advanced and I needed an advanced mentor. Eventually, I found Southwest Institute of Healing Arts where I was ordained, certified in Life Coaching. I learned how to use my gifts along side Coaching and counseling clients. So I can ethically bring messages through to clients but also Coach them through the thoughts and feelings that come up, as well as utilize Coaching models to assist clients in exploring deeper truths within themselves.
Then came my divorce, my son and I moving into my parents house, and we started training in Taekwondo as a positive outlet for us. Then came the acoustic neuroma brain tumor diagnosis. It seemed like my life was being completely flipped upside down. It was definitely a dark time in my life and I am grateful for the friends and family for their unwavering support through that time.
The biggest lesson I learned during the removal surgery recovery was to take nothing for granted. Everyday I would wake up and start listing the little things I was grateful for. A little less pain here, a little more mobility there. I was so determined to get well enough to take care of my son (5-6 at the time).
My recovery went as well as it could, relearning how to walk, use stairs, and eventually ride a bike. Eventually I went back to training in martial arts as a form of PT approved by my doc. Just no kicks to the head! I went on to earning my 1st degree black belt, then my 2nd degree. I then decided to pivot my training to focus on Krav Maga, which I had been attending classes once a week and would now atrend full-time.
Now, I am an instructor for Krav and will be earning my 1st degree black belt in January 2026! It feels so good to help empower women emotionally and spiritually in sessions as well as on the mat. I want for all women to embrace their divine feminine power. You can be strong, clever, fierce, spiritual, soft, nurturing, and creative. I believe it because I have learned that lesson myself.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road for me. I think that life is designed that way to challenge the growth and ingenuity that will evolve our souls. Diamonds are made under pressure.
Struggles on the supernatural spectrum, school, relationships, parenting, and health challenged me to take these as lessons for me to grow instead of bad things happening to me. That doesn’t mean that I don’t feel anxiety or depression, but adopting the mindset, “this is happening for me,” keeps one from falling into a victim mentality which keeps us stuck and stagnant. This is happening “for me” shows us that this is an opportunity to grow, no matter how hard or unfair the obstacle may be.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I provide Clairvoyant Life Coaching, Reiki, and Shamanic Healing Practices.
I take clients 1:1 as well as teaching workshops. I also have a free Self-Care Workbook on my website.
What sets me apart is the vibe of a session with me would feel like therapy with a Shamanic Practitioner. Not only do I see what is going on within your aura, but I also receive guidance during sessions that I pass along to you. I also utilize the information to help coach you in a way that best resonates with you. I am most proud of how I have built my brand and community.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I hope to see a growth in people looking to connect with their inner guidance system. To see women find the courage to shed a light on the unknown within them and step into what brings them confidence and joy. Owl Wisdom will always be around to hold space for those needing support emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
