Meet Ajiah Rodgers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ajiah Rodgers.

Hi Ajiah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up I worked in a few different boutiques. I was always inspired to start my own. After years of working in retail Glo by Janae Boutique was created in 2017. Glo started off selling women’s apparel. About 4 years into that, I noticed a need for undergarments & breast taping. In 2021 Glo became a full-line undergarment boutique. Today our top-selling item is Breast Tape. We’ve also taped for some of Detroit’s biggest women entrepreneurs.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship isn’t a smooth road at all. For me, a lot of the struggles are in my head. I learned to stop self-doubt.

I have to remind myself that my brand provides services & products that women may not even know they need. It’s my job to show them.

Glo By Janae Boutique provides undergarments to enhance your look. We specialize in breast taping. Our tape gives the girls an organic breast lift for those special pieces that won’t allow your average bra.

We’re most proud of the women we’ve educated on undergarments. Sometimes there is a stigma attached to undergarments that isn’t true. We’ve flipped the narrative & encouraged the girls to invest in their looks.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I tune in to anything that encourages me. Aside from that, I journal. Journaling helps me to self-reflect & learn myself.

I use it in life & for my business. Getting my ideas out on paper gives me a clear vision of what my goal is.
