Meet Adam Stevens of A2i Wheel and Tire

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Stevens. 

Hi Adam, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started A2i in the heart of the recession in 08, it didn’t start out how I planned working from a large warehouse we had to downsize to a storage unit and working out of my house. Basically, working out of the size of a garage I slowly upgraded to a 2-stall garage, and then a small warehouse. Along the way, I was able to utilize the internet to sell wheels, tires, and accessories. We just moved into our current warehouse last June, along with producing our own product line and a unique product, a center cap that will fit any wheel. The Ro center cap is designed to fit any style wheel and fits based on the vehicle you own rather than the exact wheel. We found a huge need and have been working on this for 10 years plus. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Ha, smooth road? Never. There have been good times where running the business has been seemingly easy, however, there are always obstacles and hardships. For instance, as well as we did after COVID, finding employees that are knowledgeable and dedicated has been just as difficult. For me personally, it has been work/life balance. Our company strategy is to grow, grow, grow. However, with growth comes growing pains. Also, wheels/tires are a highly technical industry. So the more knowledge you have the better. While a few of us have years of experience, training new employees can be difficult. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Setting a goal and achieving that goal. That’s true success. Sounds simple but it takes a ton of work. I always ask myself what defines someone’s success whether a professional team, business, or individual. Make a goal, make a plan, meet/exceed the goal.
