Today, we’d like to introduce you to Toni Reedy.

Hi Toni, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.

Thank you! It’s an honor to be meeting with you today.

I come from a long line of family members that have had incredible gifts, and I have had gifts of various sorts my entire life as well, so it is no surprise that my career has led me to where I am today.

I first became interested in Reiki in 2002 and became a practitioner in 2003. Since then I have become a Reiki Master in Usui Ryoho, Holy Fire, Seichem and Karuna Reiki.

Last year, on March 30th, 2023, I rented an office at a co-op space and went out on my own. I chose to leave my full-time job to pursue a more spiritual career path; this included working at traveling holistic shows throughout Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

In May of 2023, I came across a post looking for someone who could read tarot at a new metaphysical store in Grand Rapids called Waken Soul. I met with the owner, Stephanie Chandler, and right after the first meeting, I was scheduled to do intuitive tarot readings, Akashic Records consults, and Reiki at Waken Soul.

During late summer, I was nominated and received the Platinum Award for the CommunityVotes 2023 Grand Rapids- Holistic Health Category for my work in Reiki.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been all “sunshine and rainbows” this past year. To leave a successful career to start your own business in your early 50s can be scary, but here is the thing – I decided to put all bets on me, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Reiki is something that allows people to allow their mind and body to heal, and I get to help other people explore this. It’s an incredible privilege to be part of it.

I am grateful to have my amazing husband, Kevin, who supported me in following this path. In addition to having the support of my husband and adult children, I have also experienced extensive expansion in my spiritual gifts as well as improvement in my overall health from the continuous exposure to Reiki.

I recently had to have my optical prescription strength lowered, which was incredible.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Of course. Let me explain a little bit about what Reiki is and what it can do.

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word Reiki itself is made up of two Japanese words: Rei means “the Higher Power,” and Ki means “life force energy.”

Reiki works on a holistic level, addressing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of well-being. It can help relieve pain, ease anxiety and depression, and promote a sense of peace and clarity.

While it does not replace medical treatment, it can work with other forms of therapy to help remove energetic blockages and restore balance, which in turn promotes the body’s natural healing process.

As I mentioned previously I specialize in working with  Usui Ryoho, Holy Fire, Seichem and Karuna Reiki. I am also a Grand Master Teacher. I have the honor of bringing new practitioners on board, helping them build their practice, and expanding their spiritual path.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Over this past year, I have developed and published various 3-month Self Accountability Journals, which are available at various retail stores as well as on Amazon. I also teach private and group beginner tarot classes, offer all levels of Reiki classes and attunements, as well as an EFT Tapping.

Additionally, I am a Certified Spiritual/Business Coach who assists entrepreneurs in focusing on their goals and manifesting their desired results.

While I no longer travel the holistic show circuit, I still work at cocktail parties and events doing readings.

Finally, I am also half of the duo that makes up a newer podcast called The Menopause Manifesto. We discuss everything from life and the changes we women go through in life from heat flashes to falling down the sourdough bread rabbit hole. It can be found on most of the major platforms and is quite a blast.
