Life & Work with Stephanie Rosette of Warren, MI

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Rosette.

Hi Stephanie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hey there, I’m Stephy!

I’m a photographer based in Michigan and the surrounding areas. I’ve been capturing photos since I was a teenager. My father, who owned a Nikon camera, was a great teacher and showed me how to pose and use the camera to capture God’s creation.

I’ve come a long way in my career, and I’m grateful for the grace of God and the constant improvement I’ve made. I continue to strive to be better each day and pray that God will use me to capture beautiful moments for people.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Over the past year and a half, I’ve faced one of the biggest setbacks in my business—having to completely rebuild my Facebook page and clientele from the ground up.

For over 7 years, I poured my heart into a Facebook business page that grew to 700+ followers. Then, overnight, it was gone after my personal page was reported. Just like that, I lost access to everything I had built.
But I refused to give up.

So here I am—starting again with a brand-new page, showing up with the same passion, the same love for photography, and even stronger faith. The growth has been slow, but I’m trusting God every step of the way. I believe He never allows loss without a purpose, and I’m confident He can use this chapter in ways I never expected.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, followed, shared, and encouraged me. It truly means more than you know. 🤍📸

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a photographer based in Michigan and the surrounding areas, specializing in lifestyle moments and portrait work that captures genuine emotion and connection. One of the things I’ve become especially known for is my seasonal mini sessions—they’re fun, relaxed, and perfect for families or couples who want beautiful images without a long time commitment. At just 15 minutes, they’re quick, simple, and always a hit!

What I’m most proud of, though, is how intentionally I incorporate my faith into my business. Photography is a gift from God, and honoring Him through my work is at the heart of everything I do. Keeping Jesus at the center not only guides how I serve my clients, but it’s also what truly sets me apart. God comes first in my business, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to give Him the glory through the art I create.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned on this journey is not to compare myself to other photographers. It’s something I’m still growing in, especially as I navigate my own sense of worth, but I’m slowly learning to recognize the unique talent God has given me. I’m discovering that I am just as capable and gifted as anyone else.

God created each of us with a distinct purpose, and I’m learning to embrace mine—to capture glimpses of His beauty through the smiles, emotions, and joyful moments of the people I photograph. Trusting in that purpose has been one of the most freeing parts of my journey.
