Today we’d like to introduce you to Solimar Salvador

Hi Solimar, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My love for makeup started when I was 15. I would always glam myself, and eventually friends and family. During my senior year of high school two of my classmates asked me to do their makeup for prom. I was in love with how it came out and so were they! My mom always tried to convince me to take clients after that. I didn’t start taking clients until 2023, a year after my mother passed away. It started off as a hobby and quickly turned into a fast growing passion of mine. I have been focusing on bridal and I came to love the bridal industry. I am happy to be a part of it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part it has been rather smooth thankfully. There are definitely challenges, for example being a one-man show. I didn’t realize being an entrepreneur essentially meant you had to be an employee, customer service representative, marketer, social media manager, and accountant. I am excited to continue to grow and hopefully be able to create a team in the future.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a makeup artist and hairstylist. I specialize in bridal makeup and hair styling. I am known for my signature soft glams and my ability to connect with my clients. I am most proud of my work within the bridal industry, I love helping people feel confident and beautiful. It is such an honor when they choose me for such a special day in their lives! What sets me apart would be how well I communicate, how understanding I am, how well I connect with my clientele and how I am able to adapt to the needs of my clients.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as demonstrating resilience and persistence in the face of adversity, having positive impacts in others lives and feeling over all content and fulfilled with the choices one has made.
