Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Lamb.  

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Makeup and fashion have always been a way that I’ve been able to express myself. From a young age, I didn’t feel accepted. I was always the shy girl who only had a few friends. I didn’t know my place in the world, and I barely had any confidence in myself. In middle school, I started to experiment with makeup. I was fascinated on how makeup could change someone’s confidence. Although my foundation may not have been blended properly, or my mascara was clumped together, I finally felt like myself; sense then my love more makeup has grown exponentially. I now strive to make others feel their most authentic selves when I do their makeup. My goal is to make others feel the way I felt when I did my makeup for the first time. Everyone should feel beautiful in their own skin. I took this passion of mine to TikTok where I post makeup and fashion content. I get to share my love for everything pink and girly with my followers. At times I felt like I didn’t have anyone to talk to, so posting on social media me feel like I had someone to share things with. I still get extremely excited when anyone likes my content. I now look forward every day to posting on my TikTok page. Even if nobody saw my posts, it’s as if I have a digital diary to look back on. I get to see how far I have come overall. I am now more confident than ever before and hope to make others feel their most confident as well. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing ever comes easy. A struggle I’ve had during my journey is people not believing in me. I’ll tell people about my passions of becoming a makeup artist and TikToker and they either laugh or lecture me on how this isn’t a real career. I have and continue to get made fun of by people in my personal life because this isn’t a “real job.” Although this may not be a traditional 9-5, I want to continue to follow my dreams. I have to remind myself that it doesn’t matter what others think as long as I follow my heart and continue to do what I love. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an aspiring esthetician and makeup artist. I also have been posting on TikTok for about a year. My TikTok journey started because I wanted to feel connected to something. I quickly learned that I loved sharing my life with others. I have made tons of internet friends who have the same passions as I do. I am starting my esthetician schooling in a few months and becoming lash certified in April. I am extremely excited to share this new journey online with others, I have always had a love for makeup, and I am extremely proud of how far I have come with it. I finally have my home studio finished and ready for new clients to come in! I am so proud of how far I have come. I continue to follow my dreams. My journey is just getting started, and I can’t wait for the future. 

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Someone who deserves all the credit for all my successes would be my mom. No matter what she has believed in me. Any crazy idea I had; she’s followed it though with me. She has helped me through anything and everything. She has continuously told me to always follow my dreams and do what makes me happy. Life is too short to not do what you love. My mom has helped me to make my dreams come true in every way possible. She’s worked hard to give me a good life, and because of that, I have the privilege to pursue my dreams.
