Life & Work with Jasmine Lynch of Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Lynch.

Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We are an organization founded by two individuals who simply share a passion for helping and uplifting youth in our community, with no other motives or intentions. Our vision began with a genuine desire to make a positive impact by connecting young people with meaningful resources and opportunities.

From the beginning, we have focused on initiatives such as mental health awareness projects, backpack giveaways, community service opportunities, and volunteering alongside other organizations. Our goal has always been to create opportunities, provide support, and remind young people that their community believes in them and their future.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been challenging moments throughout the process of building this organization, particularly when it came to navigating the funding landscape and finding opportunities for meaningful collaboration within our community. However, those challenges also became valuable learning experiences for us. Through each obstacle, we gained new knowledge, developed additional skills, and grew both personally and as an organization. Those lessons have helped strengthen our foundation and better prepare us for this year’s event. What once felt like challenges have ultimately helped us become more resourceful, intentional, and confident in the work we are doing for our youth and community.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a clinical research professional working in the animal science pharmaceutical industry, and I am incredibly proud of the growth I have experienced throughout my career and within my profession. One of my greatest accomplishments is continuing to invest in myself through education. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree, which I am expected to complete in Fall 2027.

I believe what sets me apart is my upbringing and the journey that brought me here. I am the first person in my family to reach this level of education, and being able to pursue my goals while making my family proud means so much to me. My journey has taught me the value of perseverance, hard work, and creating opportunities even when I did not always have a clear path to follow.

As I continue to grow professionally and personally, my greatest motivation is my support system. In the future, I want to use everything I have worked for to provide my family with the best life possible, create opportunities for future generations, and show them that their dreams are attainable regardless of where they start.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Please reach out to us! Jalen and I have been actively reaching out to other organizations because we truly believe in the power of collaboration. It would mean so much to know that other organizations are also interested in working together and creating meaningful opportunities for our youth and community. We’re always open to connecting, sharing resources, and finding ways to support one another!
