Today we’d like to introduce you to India Mills. 

Hi India, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
The idea to start Parker Love Collection came about when I was a few months pregnant with my daughter, Parker. I wanted to create an opportunity for her to be able to own something for herself one day. I started by researching her first collection, I had an idea of what I wanted it to look like and I just needed to find the best manufacturers to make my vision come true. And I did! 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We are still a newer company so we have not had too many issues – yet. We have been blessed to get things started off the ground with minimal hiccups. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the owner of Parker Love Collection, a kid’s boutique for today’s fashionistas. 

I’m most proud of the idea that my daughter will know her mom worked hard to set her up for success before she was even born. 

Having a kid’s fashion line is unique because there aren’t a ton of them currently. I have limited stock in each item I order, so there is exclusivity to some degree. The most important part is that everything is affordable – kids are already expensive, their clothes don’t have to be. 

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Oh my gosh, I was so shy as a kid, it’s actually pretty funny to look back at it because that’s the total opposite of who I am as an adult. One thing that has remained the same is my creative mind. I love anything that’s creative, whether it’s art, planning a party, brainstorming for my next collection – literally anything! Being in that space allows me to think outside of my routine-like way of thinking and let loose a bit. It’s a great feeling.
