Today we’d like to introduce you to Gerika Odom

Hi Gerika, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Divine GLO Collections was born in June 2020 during one of the toughest seasons of my life. As a single mom of three, I lost my job as a pharmacy technician during the pandemic and felt completely uncertain about the future. Sitting on the edge of my bed, I prayed, and I heard the Lord say, “Start the business.” Inspired by the resilience and grace of my late grandmother, I set out to create a brand that would empower women to push through life’s challenges while keeping their radiance and glow.

With no clear roadmap, just faith and determination, I built Divine GLO Collections to inspire women to persevere and shine, no matter what life brings. Today, I am proud to also be the author of the Diva 101 Journal, a guide to help women navigate life’s challenges while maintaining their glow and purpose. Years later its a true blessing that Divine GLO Collections is still standing and thriving today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy, it’s a journey filled with challenges and obstacles. But my mission has always been to find ways to help women overcome life’s struggles and thrive. My brand reflects that purpose. It hasn’t been smooth and there has been setbacks, inventory struggles, and countless moments of doubt. But I’ve learned that with strategy, faith, and consistency, you can push through anything. Faith without works is dead, and that’s why my brand is here to be the solution for women facing life’s challenges. It’s not just about products; it’s about empowerment and resilience. Stay glowing, stay fighting, and never give up.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Diva first and an entrepreneur second. Creating content and Encouraging women is what I love to do. I’ve always been complimented on my style, my clothes, accessories, and overall look, and it made me realize other women deserve to shine too. That’s why I started Divine GLO Collections. The name itself incorporates my identity, “GLO”because it’s not just about me, it’s about helping others discover their own radiance. The name reflects my belief that if I can glow, so can you.

What I’m most proud of is the healing and drive I’ve gained over the past few years.

What sets me apart is my ability to shine no matter what I’m going through. Even in hard times, I’m the light in the room, and I want every woman to feel the same.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about my city is the sunshine, the palm trees, and the nature all around. There’s always a cool breeze with the sun popping through, and animals out during the day make it feel alive. The friendly people and great customer service add to the charm.

What I don’t love is the homelessness, pollution, and trash that take away from the city’s beauty. The hazardous areas and unfriendly people can be frustrating, but even with its flaws, the sunny vibes and natural beauty keep me loving it here.
