Today we’d like to introduce you to Briana Glenn.
Hi Briana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My business started with my love for fashion. Since a little girl, I’ve always loved to dress up. A part of that stemmed from feeling insecure about the way that I looked. I was born with a rare skin disease called Vitiligo which is the loss of Pigment causing white spots to form all over the human body. As I battled with my skin insecurities, I decided to use clothing as an outlet which led to the start of my brand, Pigment the Label. Pigment was created to help others look and feel good despite their personal insecurities. It is a symbol of finding beauty in your uniqueness.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The start was overwhelmingly exciting, and everything went smoothly. I think the biggest struggle for me now is staying motivated while going through so much chaos in the world. It is extremely important to stay on top of your mental health in order to perform at your highest potential. Finding the balance of taking care of your business and yourself can be difficult at times. Depression and anxiety are two things that heavily affect my ability to stay consistent. I always remind myself that in order to help others, you must help yourself. I’ve learned to take time for myself in between business.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am just an all-around creative person. My areas of expertise include sewing, designing (fashion & Interior), styling, and overall creating. What sets me apart from most people is that I have turned what once was a negative thing in my life into something positive. My motto is “If you can’t change it, embrace it, and once you embrace it, monetize it.”
How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
I am very easy to contact, and I am actively on my social media accounts. Send me a simple dm or email, and I will be sure to respond. I am always looking for ways to connect with people and improve my brand. As far as supporting the business, I am appreciative of anything from a repost to a purchase. Support comes in many forms!
