Today we’d like to introduce you to Brader Noormand
Hi Brader, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since 2016 after graduating from Multimedia High School Islamic Center Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia. My journey as a designer began with a passion to create something that combines visual beauty and function. Initially, I studied design autodidactically to further explore it in the future after graduating from school while taking on several small projects for several of my family’s businesses such as Logo Design, Business Cards, Memory Book Design, Banner Design and any design. Over time, I realized that design is not just about making something look beautiful, but also about conveying a message and creating a memorable experience.
This journey led me to deepen my skills, both through formal education and personal experimentation. I started working on various projects that included logos, branding, web design, and illustrations that gave me broad insight into the needs of clients and users, one of which I participated in several international logo design contests and created several portfolios of finished work through my Instagram posts (brader_noormand).
Currently, I focus on creating meaningful, relevant, and impactful designs. I believe every work has a story, and my job as a designer is to make sure that story is conveyed clearly and beautifully.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, my journey as a designer has not always been smooth. Challenges are an inseparable part of every journey, including my career in the design world.
In the beginning, the biggest challenge was gaining the trust of clients. As a newbie designer in 2016, I often faced doubts from clients who preferred to work with experienced professionals. To overcome this, I built a portfolio with small projects and offered my services at affordable prices, sometimes even for free, just to prove my abilities.
In addition, I also faced challenges in keeping up with the ever-changing technology and design trends. The design world moves fast, and staying relevant requires a lot of time to learn, adapt, and experiment with new tools and techniques.
Time management was also a big challenge, especially when I had to balance projects with personal needs and learning new skills. In the midst of all that, I learned to prioritize and be disciplined in following a routine.
However, the biggest challenge was probably overcoming self-doubt. There were times when I felt like I wasn’t good enough or questioned whether I was on the right track. The support of those closest to me and the courage to keep trying helped me through those tough times.
Every challenge has taught me valuable lessons that have helped me grow, both as a designer and as an individual. Now, I see challenges not as obstacles, but as opportunities to grow further.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a designer, my work focuses on creating designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also have a meaningful impact. I specialize in branding, visual identity, and user interface (UI) design, with the goal of helping clients tell their stories through powerful, relevant designs.
What I Do and What I Specialize In
I help businesses and individuals build an image that reflects their personality, from logo design to overall visual identity. I also design intuitive and engaging digital interfaces, so users can interact with products or services seamlessly.
What I’m Known For
I’m known for my ability to blend aesthetics with function, and my flexibility to adapt my design style to each client’s unique needs. Clients often praise my collaborative approach and eye for detail, ensuring the end result is not only beautiful but also fulfills the desired purpose.
What I’m Most Proud Of
One of the projects I’m most proud of was when I designed the visual identity for a young startup. In a short time, the design helped them gain significant market attention and investment. Seeing the real impact of my work is incredibly motivating.
What Sets Me Apart
What sets me apart from other designers is my strategic and empathetic approach to every project. I design not only to meet the client’s needs, but also to understand their audience. I believe that good design is design that tells a story, solves a problem, and creates an emotional connection.
For me, design isn’t just about making something look pretty—it’s about creating meaningful experiences and helping clients achieve their goals with confidence.
What matters most to you? Why?
What Matters Most to Me
The most important thing to me is creating designs that have a positive and meaningful impact. For me, design is not just about aesthetics, but also how the work can convey a message, solve a problem, and create an emotional connection with the audience.
Why It’s Important
Providing Real Value: I believe that good design can change the way people think, feel, or act. When my designs help a business grow, make a user’s life easier, or make someone feel inspired, that’s my greatest accomplishment.
Reflecting Identity and Authenticity:
Every client or project has a unique story, and it’s important to me to make sure my designs truly reflect that identity. I want my work to feel authentic, relevant, and resonate with my audience.
Personal and Professional Growth:
I also place a high level of learning on every project. I’m constantly looking for ways to improve my skills, understand new trends, and explore different creative approaches. This is important because it helps me bring my best to my clients.
Connection and Collaboration:
Design is a collaborative process, and building a good relationship with the client and understanding their needs is very important to me. That way, the end result is not only satisfying, but also in line with our shared vision.
In short
What matters most to me is creating meaningful, relevant, and impactful designs. Because at the end of the day, design isn’t just about how it looks—it’s about how it makes people feel and what it can achieve.
