Life & Work with Bethany Jansen of Grand Rapids

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Jansen.

Bethany , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Bethany and I grew up near Cleveland, Ohio. I moved to Michigan to attend Grand Valley State University.
I graduated in 2019 with a BA in Dance and a minor in Non-Profit Administration. I have always loved the arts and creating. January of 2023 I started content creation on TikTok and have loved it ever since. Creating relatable content is my goal and making new friends and partnerships along the way. Grand Rapids is a an amazing city with so much to offer. I love the food scene here and the people. I’ve visited other cities and Grand Rapids seems to have the kindest people. Love where I am today and I want to continue meeting new people along my journey.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Making new friends in your 20’s is hard! Some of the best people I have met would be through my work at Corewell Health. Those friendships will last a lifetime no matter where I go in life. It can feel lonely at times when you don’t know many people, but there are tons of groups out there to join. Instagram and Facebook are a great way to meet new people in groups.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create content! It’s so fun to come up with creative ways to capture an audience through a video. This could be dancing, lip-syncing or even just a review of a product. I specialize my content in Lifestyle, dancing and review of products. I’m most proud of the following that I have acquired while being my authentic self. What sets me apart from others is what you see on camera is how I am in person. I’ve always strived to be myself in everything that I do and to be proud of who I am.
