Today we’d like to introduce you to Amyre Tensley and Traviyon Bigby. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Amyre Tensley, from Detroit, Michigan, and Traviyon Bigby, from Tampa, FL, met during college in 2014. They later became best friends and have been inseparable ever since, no matter the distance.
What inspired us to start the Keepin’ It Organic Podcast stemmed from several of our conversations. We always felt like our talks weren’t your typical discussions between women our age. We would talk about faith, the different perspectives we had on life, relationships, family, and so much more. We always felt like, “somebody gotta hear this”.
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly, the journey has been smooth. We can attribute this to being something that we collectively enjoy; it came naturally to us both, and it doesn’t feel like a job. We enjoy talking to each other, spending time together whether it’s virtually or in person which makes it so much more worth it.
Doing something like this with your best friend is so fun. Of course, nothing is perfect… the technical issues with applications may try to steal our joy, but we vent, laugh it out, and keep it rolling. That’s just us controlling what we can and letting God handle the rest.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We host a podcast where we discuss the good, bad, and ugly of faith, family, friendship, and all that life organically has to offer. We’re known for our real, raw, and organic conversations that will leave you mentally, physically, and emotionally inspired.
You may find yourself laughing, crying tears of joy, smiling, and even reflecting. What sets us apart is that we are two spiritually grounded women who so eloquently showcase that when you tap into your God-given strengths and attributes, you can easily be who you were called to be and serve those who God called you to serve.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
As cliche as it may sound, the qualities and characteristics that are most important to our success are being spiritually grounded and connected to God. Relying on him to continue guiding our journeys individually makes it seamless for us to be successful collectively.
Also, by implementing prayer in our daily routines, it’s second nature for us to pray for not only ourselves but each other. We strongly believe that God is the foundation, head and heart to our success, without him we would not have had the courage to simply start. We give him all of the praise!
