Amy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We officially welcomed clients through our doors in September of this year. My professional background predominantly revolves around the realm of Urgent Care and Emergency Department services. However, I came to realize that this career path no longer resonated with my aspirations, leading me to explore the captivating field of medical aesthetics as an RN Injector, a field that had always piqued my interest. 

Becoming an RN Injector at a well-regarded medical spa marked a pivotal turning point in my career journey. The experiences and skills I gathered working in this dynamic environment inspired the vision of establishing my very own medical aesthetics practice. 

Months of meticulous planning and hard work culminated in the birth of Defined Skin Spa. Today, I’m delighted to announce that we are officially open for business and eagerly welcoming new clients! 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey to establish our medspa, Defined Skin Spa, was not without its fair share of obstacles. From navigating the intricate maze of regulations and licensing requirements in the medical aesthetics field to securing the ideal location in Grand Rapids, each step presented its own set of challenges. Nevertheless, with unwavering determination and a clear vision in mind, we overcame these hurdles, ultimately emerging, ready to serve our clients with the utmost commitment to their well-being and aesthetic needs. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We have extended our operating hours to provide greater accessibility to our services, ensuring that we are open seven days a week and accommodating late evening appointments. The motivation behind this decision was to offer a more flexible schedule for our clients, allowing them the opportunity to receive treatments beyond the conventional 9-5 timeframe. We understand that many individuals have demanding work commitments and family responsibilities, making it challenging to take time off or secure childcare, particularly during weekdays. Our commitment is to make high-quality aesthetic treatments available to you when it’s most convenient for your busy lifestyle.
