We recently had the chance to connect with Tiara Rivard and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiara , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day is filled with love, movement and breakfast with my family. From sending the children off to school to clocking in at work by day starts off with love and a smile.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tiara Rivard I am the owner of TutuAmore. I make custom items from bows to crocs. My brand is interesting because my goals is to make all little children feel like their best self when wearing items from me. My business was inspired by a childhood friend and daughters. My next step for TutuAmore is to add hair stylist to my brand. As a mom of 5, my goal is to give my children something to be proud of.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
There are multiple relationships that shaped who I am today. My mother who tells me how blessed I am , my sisters Kisha and Monique who remind me how amazing and talented I am, my husband who showed me how strong I was and that I’m the best mom ever, my dad who showed me how loved I am and how much I mean to alot of people, and many more.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
A time I almost gave up was when I become homeless after giving birth to my 4th baby, life just felt like the world was against me and I was all alone. I would pray but feel like night Is happening I tried what I thought was everything but trusting in god actually having faith. Once I finally started to have faith things started to turn around and work on the brighter positive side of life. That moment I knew I couldn’t give up and I have a purpose in this world.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They would say my children Is what matters most to me. They are the ones who motivate me, make me wanna be a better me. My children are my greatest achievement along with things I’m accomplishing for them.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What light inside you have you been dimming?
The light inside of me I’m dimming is my bubbly, loving and caring personality. My goofy side , my protective side, and all the positive things I have to offer.
