We recently had the chance to connect with Faith Crosby and have shared our conversation below.
Faith, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My first 90 minutes are typically focused on creating a calm and intentional start to the day. I try to begin with prayer and a bit of quiet study time before the rest of the household wakes up. Once the day gets going, I help my daughter get ready and on the bus, as she leaves first, followed by getting my son ready for his school day. After the kids are off, I transition into preparing myself for work. Even though I work from home, I still make it a point to get ready and set a focused tone for the day. I often play worship music in the background as I mentally shift into work mode. While the routine can vary slightly from day to day, this is generally how I start my mornings—grounded, intentional, and family-focused.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Faith Crosby, and I’m a devoted wife, mother of two, and the founder of the Sister 2 Sister Foundation—a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young ladies between the ages of 8 and 18, particularly those in underserved communities.
Our mission at Sister 2 Sister is rooted in biblical principles. We mentor, empower, and minister to young women, helping them embrace their identity in God, build lasting self-confidence, and develop the tools they need to succeed in every area of life. Our vision is to see these young women rise above adversity and become strong, purpose-driven leaders who positively impact their families, communities, and beyond.
Alongside my work with the foundation, I wear a few other hats. I work as an administrative assistant at a law firm, and I’m also a college student at Full Sail University, pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Cinematography. My passion for media and storytelling also flows into my role on my church’s media team, where I serve with a heart for excellence and ministry.
In everything I do—whether it’s leading young women, serving my family, working professionally, or pursuing creative goals—my desire is to walk in purpose and create meaningful impact. Sister 2 Sister is not just an organization; it’s a calling. I’m honored to be building something that pours into the next generation of women, helping them grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally as they step into their God-given potential.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a kid, I believed that my voice didn’t matter—that I had to shrink myself or stay quiet in certain spaces to be accepted. I didn’t always feel seen or heard, and that shaped how I viewed myself and what I thought I was capable of.
But over time, through faith, personal growth, and life experiences, I’ve learned that not only does my voice matter, but it carries purpose. I now understand that I was created with intention, and that I have something valuable and impactful to offer that only God can use me for. This shift in belief has not only changed how I live, but it’s also at the heart of why I started the Sister 2 Sister Foundation—to help young girls recognize their worth early, and walk boldly in who they are.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be: You are enough, exactly as you are. I’d want her to know that she doesn’t need to strive for perfection or change to be worthy of love and success. Her value isn’t defined by what others think or by temporary setbacks. I’d also tell her that she doesn’t have to shrink or try to fit in at tables that aren’t meant for her. It’s okay to stand tall, be authentic, and seek spaces where she is truly valued. I’d remind her to be patient, trust the journey, and believe in the unique purpose God has placed within her. This message of self-acceptance and faith guides me every day, and it’s at the heart of the encouragement I offer the young women I mentor through the Sister 2 Sister Foundation.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
While I deeply value my own perspective, I often rely on the ideas and wisdom of mentors, faith leaders, and experienced women who have walked similar paths before me. Their insights, especially around leadership, resilience, and faith, have been instrumental in shaping how I approach challenges and opportunities. I also draw inspiration from the young women I mentor—listening to their voices and experiences often sparks new ideas and perspectives that enrich my own. Ultimately, I believe the best growth happens when we remain open to learning from others while staying true to our core values.
While I value the ideas and wisdom of mentors and those around me, most of all, I rely on God for everything. Without His wisdom and guidance, I can do nothing. As it says in Proverbs 3:7, “Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” I strive each day to be led and guided by God’s direction. This foundation of faith shapes every decision I make, personally, spiritually ,and professionally, and it empowers me to serve others with clarity and purpose.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace early in the morning, during my quiet time with God—before the day begins. In those still moments of prayer, worship, and reflection, I’m reminded of God’s presence and promises, and it helps me start the day grounded and focused.
I also feel deeply at peace when I’m with my family—spending quality time with my husband and our children, laughing, talking, or simply enjoying each other’s presence. There’s something incredibly comforting about being surrounded by love and knowing we’re all covered by God’s grace.
And finally, I feel peace when I’m walking in my purpose—serving through the Sister 2 Sister Foundation, pouring into young women, and staying obedient to what God has called me to do. Peace for me isn’t just a feeling; it’s a reflection of being aligned with God, connected to my family, and living with intention.
