We’re looking forward to introducing you to Kyle Werly. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Kyle, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, the thing bringing me the most joy is getting outside and experiencing the world around me, whether that’s a big trip or just exploring somewhere new close to home. I feel happiest when I’m out in public, discovering new places, meeting people, trying new food, and just taking in the little moments that make travel so special. Even if I’m not hopping on a plane, finding a new trail, neighborhood café, or scenic overlook reminds me why I love what I do. Travel fuels my curiosity and keeps me inspired, and being outdoors always recenters me and gives me a fresh perspective I can bring back into both my life and my work.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kyle and I am a travel planner and content creator based in Michigan. I run Kyle Vacations, a travel agency where I help families, couples and first-time travelers plan unforgettable trips to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and beyond. I love taking what can feel overwhelming and turning it into a stress-free, exciting experience from the first quote to the final day of vacation.
What makes my brand unique is that I do more than book trips. I’m a traveler myself and I share my own adventures, tips and behind-the-scenes experiences on TikTok and Instagram. I want people to feel like they’re planning their trip with a real person who has walked the parks, tried the snacks, stood in the lines and knows exactly how to make the most of every moment. My background in digital marketing and storytelling lets me bring that excitement to life and build real connections with my audience and clients.
Right now I’m focused on growing both sides of my brand; helping more families have magical vacations and expanding my content creation work so I can collaborate with travel companies, cruises, and destinations around the world as well as here in Michigan. My goal is to share experiences that inspire others to explore, dream bigger and discover the joy of travel one trip at a time.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has shaped me the most is the one I have with my daughter. Becoming a dad changed the way I see myself and the world. She has shown me a different side of life that I never stopped to appreciate before. Every day she teaches me who I can be just by watching how curious she is how much joy she finds in the smallest moments and how present she is.
She reminds me to slow down to enjoy the little things and to stay grounded in what really matters. She also pushes me to grow and to show up as the best version of myself. Everything I do from the work I choose to the goals I chase is fueled by wanting to give her the best life possible and show her what is possible when you work hard dream big and stay true to yourself.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self to enjoy childhood as much as possible and to worry a lot less about what other people think. There is so much freedom and joy in just being yourself and embracing the things you love. Looking back I spent too much time trying to fit in or impress others instead of trusting who I already was and enjoying the moment. I would remind younger me that being authentic is always enough and that the right people will appreciate you exactly as you are.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
An important truth I believe is that you do not need to have everything figured out by a certain age. A lot of people feel pressure to follow a straight timeline finish school pick a career stay in it forever and never take a risk. I have learned that life is not a checklist and the path that actually makes you happy can take longer or twist a few times along the way.
Success does not have one definition and it definitely does not have a deadline. You can restart at 25 or 35 or 50 and still build something incredible. I think more people are starting to believe this but it still is not something everyone agrees with. I am proof that switching directions learning new skills or chasing a dream later than expected can lead you exactly where you are meant to be.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, I believe I could. I think at some point I realized that praise is nice but it is not the real fuel that keeps you going. What matters more is the pride you take in your work and the way it aligns with your values and who you want to become. When I show up fully for something whether that is my business my content my job or my family it is because I want to grow and create a life I am proud of not because I need applause for it.
The quiet wins are what really shape you. The moments no one sees the late nights the small improvements the steps forward after setbacks. Even without praise those moments add up and I think that is what builds character consistency and long term success.
