Hi Sherry, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Well, I’ve always been very interested in Hair, Skin, and nails (Health and Beauty) and what was need to maintain its health, life, and natural beauty. Therefore, I was always reading books, magazines, and just about anything that I could read and learn about different nutrients needed for the health of the hair, skin, and nail to keep them healthy and beautiful. Then, years later, one day, in a beauty salon, my hairdresser showed me my hair was starting to thin at the very top (The Crown). I hadn’t noticed it until then. I didn’t like it, and I started to wear my hair different than I previously wore it. I became addressed with reversing what my the Hairdresser had showed me in the salon. But I already had a lot of knowledge on what made the grow through years of research. I heard from God and began making my own hair and skin product, which is now in the top 3 in sales in (Health and Beauty) at Meijer Rivertown Market in Downtown Detroit. It is also available at “Meijer Woodward Corner Market in Royal Oak, Michigan, and Imperial Market located on Shaefer and Lyndon in Detroit.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, the road has not been smooth, not even to this day. I had to learn how to start my own business, which I learned from my mentor Mr. Art Cartwright at Global Empowerment Ministries here in Detroit. It was and still is a process. But you must remain diligent.
