Inspiring Conversations with Ronald Warner of Aligned Care Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronald Warner.

Hi Ronald, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Dr. Ronald Warner, and I am excited to share with you the incredible journey that led me to become a Doctor of Chiropractic and Clinical Nutrition specialist. As I transitioned out of the US Army, where I served as an aviator, I found myself contemplating the next chapter of my life. Guided by my faith in God, I embarked on a path that ultimately led me to serve others through chiropractic and nutrition.

The idea of becoming a chiropractor first emerged during a road trip to Michigan with my wife. I had always believed in chiropractic care, having been raised in a family that embraced its benefits. In my youth, I had experienced two significant spinal injuries that were successfully treated by chiropractors. This, along with the educational challenge, truly intrigued me.

After much prayer, I began researching chiropractic schools that also focused on nutrition. I applied to two schools and trusted in God’s guidance to lead me to the right one. I eventually enrolled at Parker University in Dallas, Texas, feeling confident that this was the path He had intended for me.

During my education, I was introduced to upper cervical chiropractic (UCC) care, which I had never heard of before. As I learned more, I became convinced that UCC was the method through which I could best serve my patients. God seemed to be leaving “breadcrumbs” for me to follow, leading me to an UCC doctor who presented groundbreaking research on lowering blood pressure.

Nutrition also played a significant role in my journey. My mother had battled cancer multiple times, and it was only when she turned to holistic approaches that she found lasting success. I felt a strong desire to integrate nutrition into my practice, and God guided me to a mentor who practiced UCC and nutrition together. Witnessing my family members experience remarkable health improvements under his care only strengthened my conviction.

Two pivotal moments in my life confirmed my dedication to UCC: regaining the hearing in my right ear and my daughter’s life being saved through UCC care. These experiences, along with countless other signs from God, solidified my decision to specialize in UCC and nutrition.

Upon completing my training, I embarked on a journey to establish my practice. We faced many obstacles, but through prayer and guidance from our pastor, we eventually found our way to Portage, Michigan. Here, I opened Aligned Care Chiropractic, and the pieces fell into place as if by divine intervention.

I have continued to learn and grow throughout my career, incorporating new techniques and research into my practice. I have been blessed to serve as an instructor and board member of a chiropractic organization, further deepening my knowledge and commitment to the field.

My relationship with God is the most important aspect of my life, and I firmly believe that He has personally guided me to provide the unique services I offer. My mission is to help others achieve better health, both spiritually and physically, and I ask for His hand daily to be in my life, enabling me to serve those who come to me in need. I hope, that through my work, you, too, may experience the blessings of improved health and well-being.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a long road with lots of ups and downs. I grew up on a farm and appreciate the life style but knew that was the life for me. So, went in the army to earn some money for college and along the way retired as a combat Airborne, Air-assault, Blackhawk instructor pilot. That adventure gave me the finances and mental fortitude to go to chiropractic school and graduate as the salutatorian, summa cum laude. All that was great but after graduation in Dallas from Parker University I moved the family to Tulsa, OK to learn a chiropractic technique called National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA) from Dr. Robert Brooks. I had heard great things about this doctor and what he was doing and wanted to offer that to my patients. The upper cervical technique was talked about or associated with amazing healing events and I actually received the hearing back in my ear from it and my daughter’s life was saved with it. I spent six months working with this doctor and then we went looking for a place to practice, PA, VA, and then finally after many, many miles found an awesome town in the state I grew up in, Portage, MI. I’ve been here just shy of 14 years, in my second practice as the first start up was located in Celery Flats in Portage.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am the sole employee/owner of Aligned Care Chiropractic, so if there is a problem you know who to talk to. I am a certified nutritionist, certified personal trainer, national board certified physiotherapist, and certified QSM3 upper cervical chiropractor. All of this to better help my patients. My mom, I would say was my biggest influence to get into the natural health field. She had cancer four times and the last times departed from allopathic medicine treatments and healed her body from the inside out with the power of food and exercise. So after graduating from school I would head down to Florida to learn Nutrition Response Testing for about two year over an extended weekend and then this last year I completed the certified personal trainer course to better guide my patients healing.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
God has always lead me, how good at listening has determined my path. My mom influenced my understanding of the power of the body to heal, as I stated in the previous question. Dr. Robert Brooks who took me on as an exam doctor in Tulsa 2010. Dr. Russell Friedman from Atlanta GA, who was a leader in the NUCCA organization and continued that work and developed the Quantum Spinal Mechanics 3 (QSM3) technique which I currently utilize. He also invited me to teach the technique at multiple seminars and I was elected to the QSM3 board as treasurer for a few years.
