Today we’d like to introduce you to Rocio Adame.
Hi Rocio, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
From a very young age, I was fascinated by investing, financial planning, and the idea of building wealth over time. Even before entering the financial services industry, I was already investing at 19 years old and constantly looking for opportunities to learn. I was curious not only about how people create wealth, but also about how they protect it and make it last.
That curiosity was also shaped by a very personal experience. When I was 14 years old, my stepfather passed away unexpectedly. He was an entrepreneur, and our family had a successful and growing business. At such a young age, I witnessed firsthand how the sudden loss of a key person can affect not only a family emotionally, but also everything they worked so hard to build.
That experience stayed with me. It taught me that building something successful is only part of the journey. We also have to think ahead and ask difficult questions: What happens to our family, our business, and everything we have built if we are suddenly no longer here? How do we create a plan so that what we worked for can continue and the people we care about are protected?
When I came to the United States and had the opportunity to begin my career as a financial professional, I remember going into my first interview with one very clear thought: I wanted to learn everything I could.
Over the years, that curiosity developed into a much deeper understanding of financial planning, business planning, protection strategies, and the importance of preparing for both opportunities and unexpected events. I learned that financial planning is not simply about accumulating assets; it is about creating a thoughtful strategy around the life, family, or business those assets are meant to support.
Today, I try to bring that long-term perspective into the work I do. I like thinking 10, 20, or even 50 years ahead and helping people consider not only what they are building today, but what they want that work to accomplish for their families, their businesses, and future generations.
For me, this career became much more than an early interest in investing. It became a way to take something I experienced personally and use what I have learned to make a meaningful difference for the people and communities around me.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not always been a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges came after stepping away from my career for several years to become a full-time mother. Later, after moving to the United States, I decided to begin a new professional career, which meant essentially starting over from zero.
I had to adapt to a new country, a different culture, and a different language while building a professional career in an industry where communication, relationships, credibility, and trust are everything.
I did not grow up here, so I did not have the established network or community connections that many people develop over a lifetime. I had to build those relationships one person at a time.
There were moments when the language barrier made things more difficult, but I refused to allow it to define what I was capable of accomplishing. I continued educating myself, improving my communication skills, learning the industry, and becoming more confident in how I could bring value to others.
Perhaps the greatest challenge was building credibility. When people have not known you for years and do not know your background or your past accomplishments, you cannot simply tell them who you are—you have to show them through your actions.
I learned that trust is built through consistency, knowledge, integrity, and genuinely caring about the people you serve.
Over time, what initially felt like a disadvantage became one of my greatest strengths. Starting over taught me resilience, humility, discipline, and the importance of continuously growing. It also gave me a deeper appreciation for every relationship I have built within my community.
Today, when I look back, I am grateful for those challenges because they shaped the professional and the person I have become. I know what it feels like to begin again, to have to prove yourself, and to keep moving forward even when the road is uncertain.
That perspective is something I carry with me every day.

Ultimately, my goal is to educate, build trusted relationships, and help clients make thoughtful financial decisions for today and for generations to come.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
One of the most important lessons I have learned is the power of persistence, resilience, and kindness.
Life and business will always bring challenges, and we cannot control everything that happens to us. What we can control is how we respond. I have learned to keep moving forward, to remain curious and willing to grow, and not to let temporary setbacks define the future.
Just as importantly, I have learned that kindness matters. Success is not only about what we accomplish, but also about how we treat people along the way. Relationships, integrity, and genuinely caring about others have been some of the most valuable parts of my journey.
Keep learning, keep moving forward, and never underestimate the impact you can have on someone else’s life.
