Inspiring Conversations with Rajul Pillai of Blissful Weddings & Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rajul Pillai. 

Hi Rajul, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started in the industry with planning my own wedding. I had so much working on all the details from picking out floral to selecting invitations and even taking a trip to India for all the wedding shopping. I have been in the industry for 15 years and have been fortunate to work with so many amazing families. Weddings are a passion and I put my heart and soul into curating events for my clients. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think I would say there were challenges along the way I think it is a process of growth. Learning to market yourself and the brand. Being able to understand clients’ needs and to be able to define what is important for each event. It is also important to keep up with new industry trends.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Blissful Weddings & Events?
I specialize in planning and coordinating ethnic weddings specifically South Asian Weddings. I strive to make every wedding unique with a focus on bringing out the bride and groom’s personalities. I take pride in forming strong vendor relationships. I am a team player who will go above and beyond to make sure every wedding is flawless. I always let my clients know that there are a lot of moving parts to a wedding and there are things that will go wrong on event day however, I am happy to put out any fires should they arise and let them continue to enjoy their day. 

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe in following up with clients right away. When planning platinum events there are so many details and logistics that need to be finalized so a quick follow-through is extremely important.
