Inspiring Conversations with Mose Howard III of Izani Collection

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mose Howard III. 

Hi Mose, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
First and foremost, I would like to thank God, the creator of the world, for giving me the understanding to find my purpose. I believe for a person to find their life’s purpose is one of the greatest gifts in life. My journey hasn’t been perfect; however, I wouldn’t change anything that has happened thus far because it has molded me into the man I am today. Since a kid, I’ve always been goal-oriented. I’ve always believed that God had something great in store for me. Growing up I used basketball as an outlet for me to escape mentally and to dream of a better life. These days I use my business endeavors to challenge myself to become someone that my family can be proud of and the younger generation can look up to. One of my biggest accomplishments that I’m currently focused on right now is the opening of my first clothing store for my brand “Izani Collection”. Business has been abundant and I am constantly searching for more way to be creative. Entrepreneurship is very demanding. Sometimes I find myself working all day with no breaks. Outside of the clothes, I’m also a music artist “Interstate Ricch” & I’m presently working on my first book. A self-help book that I hope will deter youth and anyone else from making bad decisions. At all times I’m thinking about the future and what I can do to better my family. Before my time on earth ends, I hope I can inspire and motivate people all around the world. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
August 17th, 2011 I was shot 5 times while living in Omaha, NE. My heart actually stopped beating for 45 seconds. I was in a coma for 2 1/2 weeks after requiring 6 surgeries. 5 on my stomach and one on my back. I was paralyzed after one bullet pierced my spine. It took me a while to learn how to walk again. It really is more like a miracle that I am not in a wheelchair. Some days I think back about that night and I’m thankful that I’m still alive. God must have had a bigger purpose for me.
