Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

My Journey in Hard Money Lending began In 2008, right on the heels of the Mortgage Meltdown, I jumped into the world of hard money lending. And started my Company, Hard Money Global. I saw the challenges that real estate investors were up against—especially when traditional banks turned them down. What started as a single lending endeavor has grown over the years, and today, I’m connected with over 400 lending partners across the nation.

I’m here to offer what’s often hard to find: flexible, asset-based loan solutions tailored specifically for investors, no matter their credit history. Unlike the banks, I focus on the asset itself, allowing me to close challenging deals quickly and efficiently. Every client has a unique story, and it’s my mission to find solutions that fit each one’s needs.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

The road to establishing a Hard Money Lending business in Detroit was anything but easy. Right after the 2007-08 Mortgage Meltdown, I dedicated countless hours contacting lenders from across the country, hoping to find a partner who saw Detroit the way I did—as a place of potential, not a risk. Time and again, I was met with rejection. Institution after institution told me flatly that they wouldn’t consider lending in Detroit. Many even suggested I give up on the city entirely, doubting anyone would ever invest here. Some even went as far as to say, “Turn out the lights when you leave.”

But I had a vision. I saw potential where others saw challenges. Despite all the “no’s” and the constant doubts—some even coming from friends, colleagues, and family—I was determined to create something for my client base in Detroit. It took resilience, but I stayed the course, focusing on finding lenders who could see what I saw.

Today, I’m proud to have defied the odds and helped bring much-needed capital to real estate investors in Detroit. It’s a journey that taught me the power of persistence and staying true to a vision—even when everyone else says no.
