Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Barakat. 

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Ever since I could remember I have wanted to be an Entrepreneur. I wanted to make a difference, help others, and actually provide a great service. We all know LIFE happens and we get busy… Unfortunately, that did put my dreams on hold, having to get a job, pay bills, etc… It wasn’t until 2022 that I decided to make a change. I decided to put ME first. My goal was to put my business idea on paper, make it real and get it up and running. So, I did – just that! I know there are tons of people who suffer from dry skin problems or dermatitis, arthritis, and eczema and I wanted to help ease their pain and do it pretty. I have always loved making things from baking to craft work – it all just felt so satisfying. I decided I wanted to make a CBD-infused product line that includes handmade soaps, body butters, bath bombs, and sugar scrubs. This year I was able to get my website and social media accounts running as well as attend 1 expo event so far. I am looking forward to continued success and hope to one day open up a storefront. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth ride… Opening up my own business has definitely been a learning experience, especially a CBD-infused product line business. From having to learn to do my own advertising, marketing, building a website, making logos, testing products, and the biggest roadblock of all, the laws against where CBD can be advertised. I had to learn AFTER I opened my business that CBD products cannot just be advertised on any platform, certain banks and websites won’t even work with you. So, you really have to be creative and look at all options that you can promote your business. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about CannaBliss Soap Co.?
I make handmade CBD-infused soaps, bath bombs, body butters, and sugar scrubs. I only put the best of the best high-quality ingredients in my products with a variety of essential oil fragrances you can choose from. Each product contains a range of 100-300mg of CBD for an enhanced experience that also leaves your skin moisturized and silky smooth. Being someone who has dealt with extreme dry skin problems for a long time, I can honestly say I no longer have to worry about that. I make beautiful products that have such strong aromas my customers usually want to take a bite out of them! CBD soothes any aches and pains in your joints and muscles and also helps with skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis, as well as adds that extra hydration to your skin. Let’s stop putting all these chemicals on our skin that most of the time barely even give us the results we want. I know exactly what is going on my body – what high-quality ingredients I am using and that always makes me feel better. 

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Having satisfied customers. Being able to soothe a body builders muscles after a long week of working out. Easing my mom’s arthritis pain in her hands and clearing up skin for others. Making other people happy is truly what makes me happy.
