Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Cook.  

Hi Joshua, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Growing up, I always loved putting together new furniture/decor that my mom bought. I’ve always got a kick out of reading instructions, putting things together, and seeing the finished product. As far as tv mounting, my younger brother wanted his done. After seeing the outcome and how simple the task was, I figured it would be a great way to earn extra money while I pursued my college degree. I began to promote, and slowly but surely, clients began to tap in. During this journey, I fell in love with the actual structure of homes. Like how they are built, how they are put together, etc. From this, I decided to learn more home improvement skills and provide these services as well. Today J Cook Home Services provides Professional Tv Mounting, furniture assembly, drywall repairs, flooring, and much more! 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been smooth at all, but that’s what it is all about. I have learned to embrace the challenges that come with not only pursuing entrepreneurship but life itself. In my field of work, you have to know mistakes are going to happen, especially being self-taught. No one home is built the same, and the amount of obstacles I run into daily can definitely be overwhelming, especially when you are running on a schedule. Patience, persistence, consistency, and FAITH in GOD is what it takes to get through. Aside from that, keeping up with clientele is something new to me and can have its challenges. Working around not only their schedule but mine as well. There are times where I am booked up a full 2 weeks and other times when I go a full week without 1 inquire. I just have to remain focused, trust in God, and know it’s all a part of the process.

The main focus and service of my business is professional tv mounting/ installations, and essentially that’s what I am known for. Like I said before, I also assemble furniture, hang picture/curtains, lay flooring, and many more odd jobs around homes. What sets me apart from others is my focus on quality. I will not stop working on a job until my client, and I are completely satisfied with how everything is looking and that’s what also makes me most proud brand-wise.
