Today we’d like to introduce you to Jill Fuleky.
Hi Jill, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey has been shaped by a lifelong connection to movement, athletics, and dance, which eventually led me to a career centered around the body, wellness, and working with people. For more than a decade, I’ve built and managed my own bodywork practice, which has taught me not only how to care for people, but also how to communicate, problem-solve, and create meaningful experiences for clients.
Yoga became another major influence in my life. I’ve studied Ashtanga for over 12 years, traveled to India seven times to deepen my practice, and became an Authorized Level 2 teacher. Those experiences strengthened my discipline, adaptability, and ability to connect with people from many different backgrounds.
I’ve also worked across hospitality, events, festivals, performance, and production. When I look at the bigger picture, the common thread has always been movement, creativity, service, and human connection. I think that combination of experiences has given me a unique ability to bring energy, professionalism, and genuine connection into the work I do.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey hasn’t been without significant challenges. I’ve survived physical, sexual, and emotional abuse at different points in my life, gone through divorce, and learned how to rebuild while navigating single motherhood. There were times when starting over felt overwhelming, but those experiences ultimately taught me resilience, independence, compassion, and the importance of creating a life that is truly my own.
I’ve had to reinvent myself more than once—personally and professionally—and that has shaped the way I approach both life and my work. I understand what it means to move through difficult transitions, to keep showing up when things are hard, and to build something meaningful from circumstances I never would have chosen.
Those struggles are part of my story, but they are not the entirety of it. More than anything, they have given me a deeper sense of purpose and a desire to create stability, freedom, and a meaningful future for myself and my family.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My massage business, Jamhands Bodywork, has been built around helping people feel better in their bodies in a very individualized way. I specialize in pain management, postural issues, and therapeutic bodywork using techniques such as neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, and Thai massage. What sets my work apart is that I don’t approach massage as a one-size-fits-all service. I look at the whole person, how they move, where they are holding tension, and what may be contributing to their discomfort. My goal is to create lasting change, not just temporary relief.
I’m especially proud that I’ve built the business largely through trust, relationships, and referrals. Many clients have stayed with me for years, and I consider it a privilege that people trust me with their bodies, their pain, and often very vulnerable moments in their lives.
Devi Rising Designs is the more creative side of my work. The brand includes handmade and thoughtfully sourced jewelry, gemstone pieces, clothing, sari-silk designs, and other expressive pieces inspired by travel, movement, femininity, and personal reinvention. What makes Devi Rising especially meaningful to me is that it represents more than simply selling beautiful things. The brand grew out of friendship, resilience, and a desire to create greater independence and opportunity for women.
At the heart of both businesses is the same philosophy: helping people feel more connected to themselves. Whether that happens through bodywork, movement, clothing, jewelry, or creative expression, I want people to feel stronger, more comfortable, and more themselves.
What I’m most proud of is that both brands have grown authentically out of my own life experiences. They aren’t businesses I created simply because I saw a market opportunity; they reflect things I genuinely care about—healing, creativity, connection, independence, and creating something meaningful that can positively affect other people.
What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, I’m excited to keep expanding in ways that bring together travel, movement, creativity, and connection. One area I’m especially looking forward to growing is hula hoop performance. Hooping has become such a joyful form of movement and self-expression for me, and I would love to perform more at events, festivals, resorts, and even on cruise ships as opportunities arise.
I’m also building my travel business, Wish Upon a Way, with the goal of helping people create meaningful, well-planned experiences around the world. I’m especially interested in cruises, family travel, and unique international trips, because travel has played such an important role in shaping my own life.
Ultimately, I see my future as a blend of entrepreneurship, travel, performance, wellness, and creative work. I’m looking forward to creating more freedom for my family, continuing to challenge myself, and building a life and career that feel both adventurous and purposeful.
