Hi Felicia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into HR started with a genuine passion for helping people feel supported at work and helping organizations operate the right way. Over the years, I’ve grown into leadership roles where I’ve been responsible for everything from hiring and onboarding to compliance, employee relations, and building a strong workplace culture.
In many of my roles, I served as a trusted resource and strategic partner, and I noticed that many small businesses and nonprofits were doing incredible work, but didn’t always have the HR structure they needed to grow. That’s what pushed me to take a leap and start Talley Consulting Services (TCS). My “why” is simple: I want small business leaders to feel confident and protected while operating their business.
Building TCS has been one of the most challenging and rewarding decisions I’ve made. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and even more excited about what I’m building; helping organizations strengthen their people, their processes, and their foundation for long-term success.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a completely smooth road, but it has been a rewarding one. Starting TCS meant stepping into a new level of discipline and confidence while building everything from the ground up.
One of my biggest challenges has been wearing so many hats at once; serving clients, building my business systems, marketing, and staying consistent even during slower or uncertain seasons. I’ve also had to learn how to balance growing a company while still showing up fully in my personal life and responsibilities.
The journey has stretched me in the best way. It’s taught me resilience, patience, and how to keep moving forward with purpose, even when things aren’t perfect.

Talley Consulting Services (TCS) is an HR consulting firm built for small businesses and mission-driven organizations that are ready to operate like a real company, not just “get by.” I help leaders put structure behind their vision by creating HR systems that protect the business, strengthen teams, and support long-term growth.
TCS specializes in building the foundation: recruiting and hiring workflows, onboarding and training systems, employee relations support, performance management tools, compliance-ready documentation, and clear internal processes. My clients come to me when they’re growing fast, managing challenges, or simply tired of HR feeling overwhelming and reactive.
What sets TCS apart is my ability to combine strategy with execution. I don’t just tell leaders what they should do, I build what they need, then help them implement it in a way that fits their culture, capacity, and goals. I bring clarity to chaos, turn problems into processes, and help organizations run smoother with less risk and more confidence.
Brand wise, I’m most proud that TCS represents professionalism, trust, and results. This isn’t HR that sits in a binder, it’s HR that works in real life. Any big plans?
My plans for the future are centered around growth, impact, and building something sustainable. I’m focused on expanding Talley Consulting Services (TCS) so I can support more small businesses and mission-driven organizations with strong HR foundations.
One of the biggest things I’m looking forward to is launching digital HR products and tools that make my deliverables even more efficient and accessible; things like onboarding templates, compliance toolkits, performance management resources, and ready-to-use HR systems that leaders can implement quickly and confidently. I want to create solutions that help organizations move faster, stay organized, and maintain consistency as they grow.
I’m also focused on continuing to build strategic partnerships, expanding my client base throughout Michigan, and positioning TCS as a go-to HR consulting brand known for clarity, structure, and real results. My goal is to scale TCS beyond 1:1 consulting into a full HR solutions brand that supports leaders at every stage of growth.
