Inspiring Conversations with Elizabeth Morin of Party Perfection LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Morin.

Elizabeth, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I feel like every story has multiple chapters. I have always wanted to be a business owner and have freedom to use my creative side. From a young age I have been running small businesses.

I have had many passions including music, event decorating, florals, event planning, and crafting.

My very first job was JoAnn Fabrics and it was going to be my retirement plan, I will have to find something different now. But that beginning helped to curate my future of event planning and passion to be in the wedding industry.

Event planning really started there, I was always helping with Homecoming and Prom in high school, Networking event for Northwood University where I went to college for Business Administration.

Any employment I have had, I naturally was helping with any employee event planning or Holiday planning. Which leads to now.

I have been building Party Perfection LLC for Three years as of August 🙂

It has been a lot of work, but I wouldn’t trade the celebrations that we have been a part of for anything! We have been in hundreds of weddings now between running our DJ services, wedding planning, our spin off sister business Boujee Bartending LLC. We have helped with celebrations at Loon’s stadium, Pontiac Automotive Museum and so many more great venues.

I love being a part of life events for our clients, baby showers, birthdays, retirement parties, grad parties and everything in between.

I find so much joy when I see our clients enjoying their celebration.

I would not be where I am today without an amazing village of friends that help support, help with sharing and sometimes running around for me. I am infinitely grateful for everyone that has been involved with my small business success’s. Including my kids who are my best supporters.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Struggles really have been making time for my family. I have two little kids so often I have to tell customers no because I have to make sure I am making the most of my kids time as well. They often help with deliveries and we seem to always be busy prepping for an event. My kids are amazing and I hope they are learning to be good business professionals for the future, but I want to make more time for them to be kids and us enjoy our time together.

I made a mistake by not sticking to my boundaries and being too available while on vacation. I found that while on vacation, I need to actually unplug and this helps me to reset and be ready to rock when we return.

Sleep can always be caught up on later.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Party Perfection LLC ?
I am so proud to be a woman owned business that has built a brand for budget friendly party rentals and wedding services.

I am very passionate about my DJ career for the business and have been DJing 30-40 events each year. I love wedding planning and helping to merge those worlds together.

I figured if I fail, my kids will have a lot of fun items for birthday parties.

What makes you happy?
Giving my kids the opportunity to take vacations, enjoy life and experience traveling as a family has been the best thing in the world.

Between my career and the business I work really hard, but it makes me happy to see my kids happy.
