Inspiring Conversations with Dr Chris Moran of Whole Health Regenerative Medicine, PC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr Chris Moran.

Hi Dr Chris, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The Heart Behind Whole Health Regenerative Medicine

Whole Health Regenerative Medicine was created from a simple but powerful question: What if healthcare were truly built around the person—not just the symptom? After several early attempts to bring comprehensive care under one roof as Whole Health Traverse City, three clinicians—Tom Lammy, MD, Phil Siemer, MD, and Chris Moran, DC—found one another and quickly discovered a shared purpose. What began as a professional collaboration soon became a friendship rooted in a deeper mission: to change the way people experience healthcare.

Each had witnessed the same story repeated over and over—patients cycling through medications, procedures, and persistent symptoms without ever being shown why their bodies were struggling to heal. They believed something essential was missing. At its core, the human body is not broken—it is a beautifully designed, self-healing system. When given the right support, balance, and guidance, it can often do what it was created to do: restore itself.

From this belief, Whole Health Regenerative Medicine, PC was born. The clinic was built on the idea that healing must address the whole person—mind, nervous system, hormones, immune system, and cellular health—not just a diagnosis on a chart. Through advanced blood testing, in-depth hormone evaluation, diagnostic imaging when appropriate, and truly listening to each patient’s story, the WHRM team began helping individuals who had long felt unheard: people struggling with chronic joint pain, exhaustion, brain fog, memory loss, poor focus, and hormone imbalance.

As word spread and lives began to change, the clinic grew naturally—guided always by what served patients best. Today, WHRM offers advanced regenerative and restorative therapies including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for joint and soft-tissue injuries, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy including EvexiPEL® pellets, neurological care for chronic joint dysfunction, targeted peptide therapies, and a wide range of Functional Medicine services. Each treatment is chosen not as a quick fix, but as part of a thoughtfully designed healing plan tailored to the individual.

With Dr. Tom Lammy’s retirement, a new chapter began—one that reflects the same spirit of growth and service that has always defined WHRM. Dr. Phil Siemer and Dr. Chris Moran welcomed Robert Rees, DO to the team, expanding the clinic’s capabilities even further. Dr. Rees brings advanced therapies such as IV and ozone blood therapy, methylene blue, ultraviolet blood therapy, PRP and PRF, along with select aesthetic services. In the near future, acupuncture will also be available through an experienced colleague—further supporting whole-body healing.

Today, Whole Health Regenerative Medicine is more than a clinic—it is a partnership in healing. It is a place for people who have tried everything, who are tired of temporary fixes, and who are ready to understand their health at a deeper level. Here, science and compassion meet. Here, patients are seen, heard, and guided. And here, healing is not rushed or forced—it is restored, one person at a time.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has it been a smooth ride building a holistic health clinic?

Not always—and in many ways, that’s exactly what makes Whole Health Regenerative Medicine what it is today. Building a truly holistic clinic under one roof has required countless hours of late nights, deep research, and years of continued post-doctoral education. Every therapy introduced was carefully evaluated, not for trends or hype, but for real-world effectiveness, safety, and long-term benefit for patients. Some promising treatments were embraced. Others were intentionally set aside until the science was strong enough to support their use with real people who were trusting us with their health.

That careful, sometimes slow, approach has shaped everything we do. The services that ultimately became part of WHRM were chosen because they work—because they help restore health, improve quality of life, and do so in a way that is both effective and responsible.

Today, the doctors and staff of Whole Health Regenerative Medicine understand they are building more than a clinic. They are building trust. They are building credibility. And most importantly, they are helping people reclaim parts of their lives they thought were gone for good. The journey hasn’t always been easy—but it has always been worth it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Whole Health Regenerative Medicine, PC?
Whole Health Regenerative Medicine is where personalized care and advanced healing come together.

At Whole Health Regenerative Medicine, we believe your body has an incredible ability to heal—when it’s given the right support. Our clinic brings together the best of traditional medicine when needed with cutting-edge holistic care to help you feel better, function better, and truly get to the root of your health concerns.

We specialize in helping patients restore their health from the inside out using advanced therapies like Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)—treatments that use your body’s own natural healing factors to repair injured joints, muscles, tendons, and areas affected by chronic arthritis. These therapies are designed to speed healing and reduce pain without relying on surgery or long-term medications.

We also offer Functional Medicine, which looks deeper than symptoms alone. Through detailed blood work, full hormone testing, nutritional evaluation, genetic insights, and lifestyle assessment, we identify the missing pieces that may be holding your health back—such as nutrient deficiencies, hormone imbalances, poor sleep, or chronic inflammation. From there, we create a personalized plan designed specifically for you.

One of our most exciting tools is peptide therapy, which helps “signal” your body to activate its own healing processes—supporting tissue repair, energy, metabolism, immune health, and more.

Most importantly, we don’t treat diagnoses—we treat people. We take the time to listen, to test, to analyze, and to understand your unique story. Then we guide you with proven treatments, practical lifestyle changes, and ongoing support to help you reclaim your health and your quality of life.

If you’ve been searching for answers, real solutions, and a team that truly cares, we invite you to experience Whole Health Regenerative Medicine for yourself.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
For others just startin gout in the business of helping others to thrive, our recommendation would be to master the basics of care in your chosen tradition of health care, then explore other newer or promising therapies and health-promoting approaches. Choose the ones that are shown to work best and build on your successes as you help more and more people. Add only those treatments which are focused on your core area of expertise, then hire other professionals who bring their well developed skills to your own clinic.
