Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Redman.
Hi Corey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in Boyne City, Michigan, and graduated in 2015. Being raised in a small, tight-knit community shaped a lot of who I am today and ultimately influenced my desire to come back and serve the same area that helped raise me. After high school, I went on to Central Michigan University, where I had the opportunity to play basketball, earn my bachelor’s degree, and meet my wife—three experiences that had a major impact on my life both personally and professionally.
From there, I followed my passion for health and performance to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. That chapter was especially meaningful, as it’s where my wife and I welcomed our first child, making the experience not just about education, but about building our family as well.
After graduating, I moved to Chandler, Arizona, where I spent over a year working in a chiropractic office that challenged me and helped me grow tremendously. It was during that time I refined my clinical skills, developed confidence as a doctor, and learned what it truly means to serve patients at a high level. We also welcomed our daughter during our time in Arizona, which made that season even more special.
We then returned to Florida, where I spent another six months in a different office continuing to learn, grow, and expand my approach to patient care. Each step along the way played a role in preparing me not just to be a better chiropractor, but to eventually step into practice ownership.
That opportunity came when I was able to return home to Northern Michigan and take over an established practice in my hometown from Dr. Pethers, who served the community for over 40 years. Stepping into a role with that kind of legacy is both an honor and a responsibility that I take seriously.
Now, my family and I are putting down roots back where it all started. By the time this is published, we’ll have welcomed our third child, making this season of life even more meaningful. Coming back to Boyne City wasn’t just a business decision—it truly felt like a calling. Being able to give back to the community that gave so much to me, while continuing to build something for my own family, is something I’m incredibly grateful for.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest struggles was navigating constant transition, moving from Michigan to Florida, then to Arizona, back to Florida, and eventually home again. Each move meant starting over in a new environment, adapting to different offices, systems, and patient populations, while also trying to grow both personally and professionally. That kind of change can be uncomfortable, but it pushed me to become more adaptable and confident in my abilities.
Balancing career growth with family life was another challenge. My wife and I welcomed two children during some of the busiest and most demanding seasons of my education and early career, with a third on the way. Learning how to be present at home while fully committed to my patients and professional development wasn’t always easy, but it gave me a deeper sense of purpose and perspective.
Professionally, stepping into different offices early on came with a learning curve. Each clinic had its own philosophy, systems, and expectations, and there were moments of self-doubt as I worked to find my own voice and style as a chiropractor. However, those experiences ultimately became some of my greatest teachers and helped shape the way I practice today.
Taking over an established practice in my hometown also came with its own set of pressures. Following in the footsteps of a doctor who served the community for over 40 years is both an incredible opportunity and a significant responsibility. There’s a natural desire to honor that legacy while also bringing my own vision and energy into the practice.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At our core, our practice is focused on helping people function and live at a higher level, not just to get out of pain.
While many people initially come to us because something hurts, what we really specialize in is identifying the root cause of those issues and helping patients build long-term health through consistent, proactive care. We focus heavily on spinal health, nervous system function, posture, and overall movement, with the goal of helping our patients not only feel better, but stay better.
One of the things that sets our office apart is the emphasis we place on education and communication. We take the time to help patients understand what’s actually going on with their body and why care matters beyond just short-term relief. That clarity builds trust and allows people to take ownership of their health, which is something we’re very passionate about.
We’re also known for creating a welcoming, family-oriented environment. We care for a wide range of patients, from newborns, families, athletes, golden athletes to individuals simply looking to stay active and healthy, and we strive to make every person feel comfortable and valued when they walk through our doors.
Another differentiator is our focus on consistency and structure in care. Rather than a quick, one-size-fits-all approach, we build personalized care plans that are designed to create real, lasting change. We believe that health is something you build over time, and we aim to guide our patients through that process in a way that is both realistic and sustainable.
From a brand standpoint, what I’m most proud of is the trust we’re building within the community. Taking over a practice with such a long-standing history comes with responsibility, and our goal is to honor that legacy while continuing to grow and evolve. We want to be known as a place people can rely on—not just when something is wrong, but as a consistent part of their long-term health routine.
Ultimately, what I want readers to know is that our office isn’t just about chiropractic adjustments—it’s about helping people live better lives. Whether that means getting out of pain, improving performance, or simply staying active for their family, we’re here to support that journey every step of the way.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
If I had to point to one quality that’s been most important to my success, it would be consistency.
Whether it was going through school, moving across the country multiple times, learning in different offices, or now building a practice in my hometown, I’ve learned that showing up every day and doing the right things over time is what creates real results. There were plenty of moments that were uncertain or challenging, but staying consistent—especially when things weren’t easy—made all the difference.
That consistency also carries over into how I care for patients. I don’t believe in quick fixes or shortcuts when it comes to health. Real, lasting change happens through small, intentional actions done repeatedly, and I try to lead by that example both in my practice and in my own life.
At the end of the day, success isn’t about one big moment—it’s about the habits you build and the standards you hold yourself to every single day.
