Inspiring Conversations with Aondray A. Worthy of WalkWorthy Menswear

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aondray A. Worthy.

Hi Aondray, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started selling back in 2013 by catalog only. We then transitioned to physical merchandise and establishing our WalkWorthy Brand in 2018. By leveraging social media and investing into our brand through promotional videos and photo shoots, the word spread. We then embarked on connecting with the community through fashion shows. We’ve done fashion shows at the historic Potters House. Everett High School and recently the Lansing Mall.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t, from negative bank accounts, cancellations, suppliers not following up, lack of support, and more, it has not been easy. We had to overcome language barriers with manufactures overseas. We had to learn fabrics and how to take proper measurements. There was late nights and early mornings. We self-funded our business, what we made went back into it. My family made sacrifices. Friendships were tested.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our custom clothes are tailor-made for you at affordable prices. We don’t just take your measurements – we get to know you and your style. We want to know what you are comfortable wearing. Our clothes will compliment you where you are now – from every angle.

Everyone likes to dress up and feel their best. Our carefully procured selection of men’s suits, tuxedos, overcoats, shoes, and more are chosen with the Walkworthy client in mind. You can’t find these styles and elegance just anywhere. Our affordable prices ensure that you don’t have to be rich to feel and look like a million bucks.

Walk Worthy is not just a clothing store. We are a brand and an ideal for living your best life with intention. We want to exemplify a positive message in the fashion industry. How you are on the inside is just as important, or more, than what is on the outside.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t believe in luck. I pray like it depends on GOD and work like like it depends on me!
