Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyraa Caldwell.
Hi Tyraa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started in the industry 21 years ago by becoming an assistant to a real estate agent. He showed me the business and I soon learned the entire business and became a full time licensed agent about 3 years after. My niche became working with investor clients and this is what lead me into property management. I started doing property management because I wanted my investor clients to have someone that they trust handling their properties. I soon became a Real estate broker in 2016 and from there became a leader with up to 12 agents under me at one point and that’s when my teaching journey began. I started teaching real estate classes, courses and having real estate invents including my biggest one: Real estate for beginners in which I held for 5 consecutive years. By 2021 my property management company had experienced major growth and I was managing over 400 properties. In 2022 I sold my property management company to focus more on teaching classes and courses.
By 2023 I started focusing more in developing my App called the rentagade app.. after being in property management so long I found the disconnect between renters and owners and wanted my application to be the “Connect” .. Now 2026 I have started back doing Property Management but in a different way.. I took everything I formerly learned and put it into my business now and still working to launch my rentagade app this fall as well as still working as a real estate broker and property management specialist.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it has not.. real estate itself is not smooth but you learn how to deal with things along the way. Everything from deals falling through at the last minute to dealing with all type of tenant issues, evictions and having everything being on my shoulders since I own my companies 100%.
We’ve been impressed with Tyraa Nicole LLC/Tyraa NIcole Realtors LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
TYraa NIcole LLC I work as a property management specialist, Tyraa Nicole Realtors, I am a real estate broker and handle sales/rentals. What sets me apart is its never been about the money for me, its about getting the job done. My slogan always will be: The difference is, I care. I’m most proud of just being about to be in the business for over 20 years successfully. Real estate is a rough business to be in and stay in, I have been through a lot and I’m proud for sticking it out. My companies offer services in ALL aspects of real estate: buying, selling, managing rentals, home improvement needs, landscaping and anything else that a home owner or tenant would need. The rentagade app is the connect.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
When thinking of selling your company.. Do Research on the company buying your company. Separate business from personal, don’t take business things personal. Just do the work, the money will come and stay consistent. If something is not working change it, if it is working, Dont change it!
