Today we’d like to introduce you to Tania Salazar. 

Hi Tania, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started assisting my sister with bridal and quinceañera parties. My sister would get super busy, and she asked me on multiple occasions if I could help her. I always loved doing my own makeup, but I wasn’t confident in doing other people’s makeup. After my sister insisted that I help, I agreed even though I was super nervous. I started to help her more and more, then I realized that makeup had became my passion. I eventually decided to take the plunge and start my own business. I currently have 9 years of experience under my belt, specializing in bridal makeup. I dedicate my time to perfecting my craft, attending makeup classes from successful and well-known makeup artists in the industry, and learning new trends and techniques to be able to better service my clientele and give them timeless looks that they love. I am known for my weightless makeup application, making my clients’ skin look natural, flawless, and radiant. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
As a new makeup artist, there can be a variety of difficulties. One of the biggest is the lack of experience and knowledge, which can lead to not knowing how to improvise in certain situations or when a client has a unique request that you don’t know how to achieve. Having the proper knowledge and understanding is essential to being successful, so it is important to continue learning and developing your skills and knowledge. 

We’ve been impressed with Tania’s Touch, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have 9 years of experience under my belt specializing in bridal makeup. I am known for my weightless makeup application that makes my clients’ skin look natural, flawless, and radiant. I am very proud that my work is loved by all my clients, and thanks to them my business has grown so much from referrals and word of mouth throughout the years. What sets me apart from others is that my bridal makeup is waterproof, transfer-proof, that will last hours through sweat and tears which my brides love! 

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see myself as a successful well-known makeup artist.
