Hidden Gems: Meet Simon Saleh of Keller Williams Legacy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Simon Saleh.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Simon Saleh I was born in Yemen. I immigrated to the United States when I was 13 years old. I earned an associate degree from Henry Ford College in 2016. I also studied business at Wayne State University and Wayne County Community College. My career experience includes working as the Chairman of the Student Career Services Foundation, Emergency Room Paramedic for Beaumont Health, and as a Real Estate Agent at Keller Williams Legacy…

I dedicate my life to the public service, which is why I ran for Michigan State Representative in August of 2020. Although I did not win the election, I still continue to serve my community by volunteering with local nonprofits organizations and community events.

During the Pandemic, I lost my job like many million Americans. I lost hope until one weekend I saw a YouTube Ad about Real Estate, I decided to take the Real Estate course online. Few weeks later drove three hours to Clevland to take the Real Estate Exam because the Michigan offices were closed due to COVID which I passed.

Today, I do real estate because I am passionate about helping people with purchasing a home or selling a property because that’s one of the largest important investments a client will ever make. I make sure my clients secure an agent who is capable, that they can trust, and that strives to over-deliver in every regard.

I decided to utilize social media to reach out to clients which lead me ahead of many realtors who are already in the business. I was able to build a stable a successful business, from Instagram alone I closed over a million and a half in sales volume in the last nine months.

I am in the business of helping people not selling to people, I follow the Keller Willaims Legacy business model which is God, Family, and Business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In April of 2020, I was laid off from Beaumont Health due to COVID, the Hospital needed more nurses. During the pandemic which I became unemployed, broke, and nearly homeless.

At the beginning of 2021, my social media began to grow faster than I ever imagined, in less than two years in the real estate industry I sold over 5 million from Instagram and Facebook alone!

For that reason, I decided to continue educating my clients through social media, that’s where I created my brand Simon Says Sold”  on Instagram and Facebook.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am an independent contractor with Keller Williams Legacy as a Real Estate Licensed Agent focused in the Greater Detroit Area. I have a unique blend of putting the client first with dream properties to buy/sell across Detroit.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My essential qualities, in my business my clients come first. I negotiate deals by using creative ways to get the best deal possible for all my clients. It’s a win-win deal or no deal. I also make the buying or selling process simple for my clients by guiding them into a step-by-step process. I treat all my clients equally, respectfully, and with loyalty.
