Hi Ronika, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been passionate about entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for myself and others. I started my journey in the beauty industry nearly 10 years ago, building my business from the ground up through hard work, consistency, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Over the years, I expanded beyond providing beauty services by becoming an educator and mentor, helping aspiring and experienced beauty professionals grow their skills and businesses.
Today, I own and operate a salon suite business while continuing to develop beauty education programs and digital resources. I recently earned my MBA, which has strengthened my business knowledge and prepared me for my next chapter as an entrepreneur and real estate investor. My goal is to continue building businesses that create financial freedom, empower others, and leave a lasting impact in my community. Every challenge I’ve faced has helped shape the leader and business owner I am today.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has taught me something valuable. Building a business from the ground up came with financial uncertainty, long hours, self-doubt, and the responsibility of wearing many hats. There were moments when things didn’t go as planned, but I stayed consistent, adapted, and kept moving forward. Looking back, I wouldn’t change the journey because every obstacle helped shape me into the entrepreneur and leader I am today. The journey has been worth it, and it has made every milestone even more meaningful.

Shade Esthetics is a beauty brand built on education, empowerment, and excellence. For nearly 10 years. I specialize in esthetic services. As my business evolved, I expanded beyond providing services by launching one-on-one beauty training, mentorship programs, and educational resources designed to help aspiring and experienced beauty professionals build successful careers.
In addition to my beauty business, I own Shade Esthetics Salon Suites, a boutique salon suite concept that provides independent beauty professionals with a professional, supportive environment to grow their businesses. What sets us apart is our focus on community, mentorship, and creating opportunities—not just renting space.
One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is building a brand that has grown through consistency, authenticity, and genuine relationships. Whether I’m serving clients, educating students, or mentoring entrepreneurs, my mission is to inspire others to invest in themselves and create lasting success. As I continue to grow, I’m excited to expand my educational offerings, digital products, and business ventures while making a positive impact in the beauty industry and beyond.
