Hidden Gems: Meet Paul Hagan of MaxAir Trampolines

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Hagan

Hi Matt, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Around 2000, gymnastics coach & co-founder Paul Hagan was unable to purchase a super trampoline from Canada. Why? The company was afraid of liability in US courts if someone was to be injured on the apparatus.

So then what? Paul hand-wove a 10′ x 20′ super trampoline in his garage. Paul then had a loom built to accommodate such a creation & to speed up the process. By 2010, co-founder Steve Chan joined Paul to form the only US-based trampoline company that could build custom string bed trampolines and super trampolines for a US audience. In that time, Paul & Steve invented the first mass-produced super quad trampoline for athletes & active families, as well as introduce 7″ and 9″ thick safety spring pads to market.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been an adventurous journey with very many highs and a couple of lows that keep us grounded.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are the world’s leading developer of super trampolines for professional athletes and active families.

What matters most to you? Why?
Safety. If you cannot perform safely, you should not perform at all.
